Fake.

I stare silently at the gucci tablecloth that adorned the round table. My hands were folded across my chest and legs were crossed over each other. I kept a neutral expression on my face. I was supposed to go ballistic. Or maybe I was supposed to go emotional. Or atleast show some emotion.

Funny. I was doing nothing. Not a single table overturned, not a chair broken, not a busted fist, nah, nothing.

What was there to react to? Sohyee had just revealed that Sanders and the Chois have been connected through relationships for generations. And that I have been stimulated before I could step foot on this earth. My brain was already functioned in ways I don't know about now. And surprisingly I have such an important value in this fiasco. He is after my brain which stores the passcode to the revelation of something his grandfather had left for him.

In the name of protecting me, I was given off to the Kims who were indebted to the Chois for helping them in building up their business. And sadly, the plan flopped when they died and I was somehow found by Sanders again. And as showcasing their cowardice, I was neglected and kept unwanted in the name of protecting the Choi clan. I was sacrificed for my own benefit and for their own safety. I have had so many people trying to track me. I feel so important at this point.

And now, Alexander was here again for my head. He was here to disbalance me and take out what he wanted from my brain.

And I didn't find him wrong at all. He was doing his duty. His genius grandfather had found something as significant as a solution to the mind's negativity. He was having a holistic approach, for the betterment of the world. He just wanted to give it out for all to see. And I was somehow the barrier in the way. He had one job, that was to squeeze me, crush me and delete me. And he was doing it.

"Ivy?" Sohyee softly called out for me. My gaze didn't waver from the circle of the gucci tablecloth. From my peripheral vision, I saw her hesitantly extend her hand towards me and but crawled her fingers back at the last moment. "Ivy say something.." She sounded desperate for a reply.

But what was there to say?

I allow my gaze to slowly meet hers. Visible relief flowed through her hazel eyes as she stared at me. Her eyes searched for any trace of emotion to flicker but she found none.

"I get that we're.." I purse my lips to think  of an alternative for this word wasn't deemed fit here. "..part of the Choi clan, so we're, we're meant to know this and somehow solve this." I didn't miss the way her face crumbled a little when she saw how conveniently I avoided the word 'family'.

"But then.." I shift my gaze to Yoongi sitting beside her and slowly to Jungkook who stood against the door frame with his hands crossed. "Why are these people into our business?" I didn't even attempt to hide the disgust as I gave him an icy glare. "Why are they involved here? They're no one to be here."

Maybe that was harsh. But I couldn't be blamed for the betrayal I still felt looking at him.

His jaw ticked a little as he looked away. But he knew I was meant to be like this with him. There's a limit to everything.

"Yoongi was the one who found out about this. He had had to know sometime sooner or later." I heard Sohyee reason out. I raise a brow at her words and turn to look at her.

"Oh really?" I twist my lip upward. "What did this mister do? Get in your pants and give you the time of your life? Oh I'm s—"

"I have better things to do rather than fucking women." Yoongi immediately retorted.
