Rewrite the stars.

The dusky hues glorified the sky. Pleasant breeze soothed the atmosphere, withering off the warmth sun had radiated upon throughout the day.

And here I stood in front of the grand mansion I had left untouched for about a month or so. Vie struggled to jump out of my hands and run into the wide playground (as he saw it). The butler quietly kept the luggage in the compartment which opened after he scanned his iD. Bowing he went his way, leaving me and my pup alone.

"Down boy." I sat him on the floor. He lolled his tongue out and looked up giddily. I gave him a small smile and scan my finger on the hidden panel. The doors slide open as a robotic machine greeted me in a mechanical voice. It started sprouting the weather updates and recited its schedule over and over again. I ignored it simply and walked over to the couch. Without further ado, I slouch myself on it.

My hairs were left open and the bandage was doubled over to prevent any leakage at high altitudes. It was only aggravating the pain in my wound somehow.

I cover my eyes with my elbow, and managed to be as thoughtless as possible. That's when my phone rang. The robot swivelled its way to me, and Michelle's voice sounded through it.

"I hope you've reached safe." I hum in reply to her question.

"That's good. Also, an unknown file was found in our device related to you. It requires a password to open it." She rambled. But her voice was accompanied by the constant yelps of Vie. I peek through one eye, only to find him growling at the poor machine. He was ready to throw hands.

"You couldn't guess?" I mumble under my breath. I felt exhausted, of everything. But there was nothing I could do. I couldn't sleep without having flashbacks of everything that has happened recently. Right from Rick's true viewpoint to Alexander's threats. The constant heartache for him goes without doubt.

I really wish he would somehow be there to hug me. Even if he was just pitying me. But I wouldn't be the one he would be showering these with. One month. I didn't see him. Yet I remember every feature of his. I yearned to see him again. Pitiful eh?

"To be honest, we don't really know you. And from whatever we have hacked, we can't get any clue for the plausible password. Should we send it to you?"

"Yeah." I say. Michelle blabbered something more before she cut the call. The machine beeped before Vie toppled it off. It made an unusual sound before slowly turning around in the same overturned position and swivel away. Sometimes I pity it too.

"Leave that Vie. Come here." I motion my hand towards him. He happily hopped its way and jumped, landing right on my chest.

LeBron who?

I groaned at it but nonetheless smiled for his infectious grin. He licked my face and rounded his territory on my tummy.

Sometimes I feel like this is just perfect. He would never leave my side even if I kicked his guts. He would never hurt me even if I throw him off the window. His infectious playful self was enough to make me forget about the issues I had to face. Even though it was momentary, it didn't matter. No wonder they say that dog is man's best companion.
