This name sets a unique symphony through every single cell of my body.
The organ beating in the upper part of the body, thuds its way out of my chest. The rhythm sets every part of mine on fire. It gives me a new life.
A life, which I had lost ever since the shadows of my mind overpowered me.
The demons of my mind made their appearance for the first time in my middle school times. Since then, they have been existing. I always hear whispers in my ears. But on looking around, I find no one.
I had a family.
But in my wee childhood days, I experienced the grimmest of the crimes, right in front of my eyes.
I can still see that day as clear as a crystal in front of my eyes.
I was playing alone. Not that I didn't have friends; they had all gone to their respective homes. It was way past my playtime. The sun had hidden itself behind the dark sky a long time ago. But my playful self wanted to explore every possible way of playing with my new ball, which dad had brought for me the day before.
I remember laughing as I kicked the ball as high as possible and then run at the fastest pace to catch it. Then I dribbled the ball from my right to left, preparing for the next shot. With all the strength in my tiny self, I kicked hard. High up it went into the air, and fell into the trap of the lush green bushes, which was the doorway to the forest.
I had heard tales about devils and supernaturals living in the midst of the dense forest. I didn't believe them honestly. So being the brave me, I went towards the bushes to retrieve my brand new ball.
As I brushed off the bits of grasses from my clothes, I stood up smiling satisfied at the unharmed condition of my ball.
But, the next moment I know I was tied up in the chair, while I saw my dad crying at the feet of another huge man dressed in a black gear. My dad was crying hysterically, but the man didn't say anything. Instead, he let out a few chuckles and had a satisfied smirk on his face. I remember trying to find my way out of the ropes, but my small seven-year old body didn't have enough strength.
The man said something to my dad. Upon hearing that, he had looked at me. Those desperate eyes tried to signal me something, but I couldn't comprehend.
That's when I let out a loud scream as I saw five men come in with knives in their hand.
They stripped off his clothes and threw them away. They tied up dad; his hands tied at the back while legs spread apart and tied to metal stands. I could hear him shouting at the top of his lungs, begging the man to stop. But this only brought in more laughs and chuckles from the mysterious man.
The man said some uncomprehendable words, before he unbuckled his pants and...dad let out a very loud scream.
