Your eyes tell.
“Your gazing eyes are so beautiful. You taught me that one day this sadness will wind us together.”
My body felt weightless. As if I was travelling through void.
Soon I was blinded with a bright white light. I slowly opened my eyes, squinting them to see through the white.
I saw a faded figure, almost transparent. The face was hidden behind the clouds, but I could see the clothes, which were different shades of grey ranging from tint grey to dark grey. The figure extended its hand towards me. The hand was clouded till the wrists.
I extended my hands towards it. Slowly. I felt my fingers tremble as it stretched towards the hand. The hand was inching towards mine, and with every inch it extended, it revealed its bare skin underneath the cloudcover.
Our hands meet. The soft hands met mine. I gripped on it tight, not wanting to let it go. Gathering all my strength, I pulled it towards me. And there revealed its wrist.
The bracelet...
The figure tried to free itself from my grip. But I tightened my hold instead, refusing to leave it. I could feel sweat glistening my forehead as it dribbled down my face. But I didn't leave it.
I heard a loud laugh. It immediately turned to extremely loud shouts along with hysterics. The white light was eaten up by the dark. The figure was no longer wearing grey. It was now clothed in pitch black. Its face still clouded.
My head ached as the hysterics continued. I shook my head vigorously to stop the intensity of the sound. But my strength faded and grip loosened from the hand. I tried to wriggle out of the place but couldn't move myself. Instead I felt as if crushed by a very heavy weight.
The dark figure roared with laughter as my trembling fingers tried to grip onto its wrist. I adjusted my eyes, and parted my lips panting for breath. Sweat glistened on my skin as I tried looking through the darkness. I feel my limbs come to life as I eye the bracelet, inches away from my grasp.
Just a few more, I thought as I lift my exhausted body more towards it. More towards the platinum bracelet which shone through the dark. Its sparkle was enough to blind the naked eyes; the more nearer you go, the more it shone.
But suddenly a loud thunder struck. The figure continued laughing but the bracelet was no longer there. Just the empty hands remained as the thorns caressed its skin. Thorns with red petals, drooping down one by one. And as it did, an unknown ache spread through my chest.
I stared at it for a while before a spark of light blinded my vision, pushing me into weightlessness. I couldn't hear anything.
Bubbles of water escaped my mouth as I found myself drowning. I tried to push upwards, but the waves hit harder pulling me down. Gasping for breath, my limbs flailed and thrashed around, looking for an anchor or a way out. But it was pitch dark, dark as if the light was deliberately blocked.
