Him.

Everything around seems so changed when you haven't seen them for a long time. Or is it we ourselves who change? The wooden floor still resonated the sound of heels as one walked through. The elevators still pinged as it opened. People still bowed and shook internally when they saw me. Faint noises of gossips could still be heard from the café. The glass walls could still be concealed as one drew the 'walls'. The rooms still looked the same, the pile of files still remained unchecked near my desk, the chair still screeched as I sat on it, Jimin still managed to rap out my schedule in front of me.

The only difference was time. Two months ago, this was my favorite haven. It came as an urge to come here just for one reason. And now, all I wanted was to disappear before he or she graced me with their appearance. Hoseok and Jin remained indifferent of the passage of time, treating me with their same goofy smiles while Yoongi and Sohyee were nowhere to be seen.

Anyway I had a busy day. Sprinting and reviewing around, with Jimin leading the way along, it was pretty tiring. I was glad my thoughts remained busy enough with these rather.

I run my fingers through my hair, listening to the piece of musical composition playing as I sat in the technical department. Everything was fine. Or maybe I was too much in a hurry to get over this. The president would be here by tomorrow and everything seemed to be in place. The medical team recited their own observations about the music, the type of impact it had on a person's brain and how it could be beneficial.

"If everything's right, then compile it up. Mr. Namjoon would prefer a run through." I removed the headphones. "Euphoria's done?"

Jimin hummed. "But Hoseok said they wouldn't compile theirs with ours. They had different plans." I raise my brows at him. He gave me a clueless shrug. I shrug and nod along. "Doesn't matter. It's their discretion. We can just cooperate for now."

I glanced at the time. It was just two in the afternoon. I was hungry and worried about Vie. I had left him under the care of the butler and of course I didn't have much trust on him to take care of my pup.

"Wanna grab some lunch?" Jimin asked. I looked around my desk and almost threw up at the amount of files which were kept to be reviewed. I was fucking done with everything and all I could do was satisfy my hunger atleast.

"Fuck yes." I take my coat off and swing it on the chair since it was about a hundred four degree fahrenheit, and I wasn't a fan of sweating.

As we walked down the corridors, Jimin gossiped about the latest news (though smartly keeping away the biggest talk of the town away). I couldn't do much than nodding along or humming in whatever funny he seemed to have said. As we reached the basement, Jimin searched his pockets and fished out the key. But unfortunately, Jimin's phone rang right at the same time. I gave him a bored look as he sheepishly smiled and excused himself.

I was glad he was better than anyone who would be in his place. He did spend a day breaking down but he was strong enough to gather himself up, not completely but surely quickly. I lean against the car and take out my phone from my pocket, though not ignoring the faint rumbling of my stomach.

An unopened message remained in my notifications. I click it open and found a picture with the photo of a two girls. Just two girls. One of them with fringes reaching her eyebrows while an elder girl whose face was cut till her eyes stood beside her smiling at the camera. I glance at the number from which I received the picture, but it wasn't familiar to one bit. I pondered over the image, something clicking in my mind but somehow deeming out to be clueless.
