It had been almost two weeks since Callie had been back to Texas. After a very long lecture from her father about talking to him when something this important is going on he told her he would be looking into what could be done about Liam. At the very least a protective order could be filed. Callie already had her concealed carry. That was something she did when she first moved to Texas.

She had finally talked to Tracy and decided to apply for the job she had once had waiting for her. Tracy had told her that while she wasn’t going to have to go through an interview they would be looking at her against a few other applicants as well. She got everything submitted and Tracy told her she would know something by Thanksgiving break at the latest. They were trying to get someone in that could shadow a current teacher starting after Christmas break.

Callie and Blake had talked almost every day since that preseason game against the Jazz. Blake was trying everything he could to get her out to LA for the game tonight against the Thunder. She considered it for a while and almost gave in, but instead decided to stay in Texas and watch it at home. Blake had been pretty upset about it, but conceded nonetheless. Callie had many reasons for not wanting to be in LA for the game. For one she was still a Thunder fan and didn’t want to sit with Madison and the other wives and girlfriends of Clipper players when her heart was with the blue and orange.

Callie had spent the day cleaning up her townhouse and going through things she didn’t want to keep should she indeed make the move back west. She was just decluttering her closet when her phone rang. She jumped up from her spot on the floor and grabbed it just before it went to voicemail.

“Hello?”

“You know you still have time to make it out here before tipoff,”

Callie smiled hearing Blake’s voice. It truly had that effect on her since she had been back home and one of the few things to make her smile lately.

“I know. I just don’t know how well wearing my Durant jersey would go over in the section you would put me in,” Callie laughed.

“You can stand outside,” Blake sassed.

“That’s not very nice. You would fly me all the way back there to leave me outside for the game?” Callie asked trying not to laugh.

“If that’s what you’re choosing to wear,” Blake smiled.

“What else would I wear?” Callie asked walking back to her closet.

“I know for a fact you have a better jersey to wear than that,” Blake challenged.

“You’re right. My Ibaka one would be more fitting since it’s the away colors,” Callie smirked. She wasn’t stupid she knew about the bad blood between the two players. She was teasing him and she hoped he caught on to that.

“I should just hang up on you for that,” Blake spat.

“You wouldn’t,” Callie smiled.

“No. I wouldn’t but you’re definitely in trouble next time I see you,” Blake said the element of joking gone from his voice.
