RECAP OF THE PREVIOUS CHAPTER:
After going through a few rules with me,he asked Aliyah to show me my room. She led me to a room in the far corner of the house and left without saying anything. I opened the door and I was amazed. It was a small room with had a bathroom and a toilet attached to it. The bed was a queen sized one and it had an in built wardrobe with a mirror near it. The burgundy color of the room which matched with the bedsheets and the curtains gave it a neutral touch. This room alone was bigger than the room we had rented back at home.
Placing my bag on the bed,I sat down in the head and let out a long breath.I didn't even know how to feel about this anymore.

I wrapped the towel tightly around me as I got out of the shower. I was still getting used to my new environment and everything seemed so different around here. Quickly putting in some casual clothes,I said another quick prayer and checked the time."4:45am" the clock read. "Prefect timing." I thought. Yesterday when I served them dinner,I was told by Mr Danso's wife (who I had been instructed to call Madam)that I had to start cooking for breakfast at around 5 since Mr Danso and Aliyah left for work and school respectively at 6:30.
I went out of the room slowly, making sure not to make a lot of noise, and put on the light in the hallway. Finding my way around the house took some time but finally I made it to the kitchen. I put on the light and surveyed the fridge for items I could use to prepare breakfast.
After a while,I decided to make some porridge and toasted bread with some juice and cut fruits.Rich people like to eat fancy, you know.
I got to work, silently humming a gospels I had memorized as I worked. Around 5:35am,the house began to get noisy as doors opened and closed loudly. This showed that the family was awake,so I increased my speed. When I finished with everything,I decorated the dining table with the food, making sure that everything was clean and nice. The family assembled around the table at around 6am and began to eat amidst loud chatters.
Okay yall, let's be real here. You do not eat around the dining table at home do you? Like dining table where? In my house the dining table is used to store all the drugs in the house as well as my mother's change. But again,we are talking about rich people here so we move!
I watched the family in awe for sometime. This could have been my family and I only if that bastard didn't go running after university girls. I cleaned up the kitchen as I ate my share of the breakfast, swaying my hips lightly to the gospel song that was blaring through the speakers.
"Ou,I like how you move." A voice said. I turned around quickly and saw Mr Danso leaning on the closed door of the kitchen, stroking his non-existent beard.I smacked my lips together and started washing the dishes, spilling water everywhere out of nervousness as I did. Mr Danso just stood there and watched me,smiling slowly.
"Daddy I'm done." I heard Aliyah yell. I sighed in relief as I thanked Aliyah in my head. Mr Danso opened the kitchen door quickly and walked out, acting like he came to do something useful in here. Aliyah came right after her father left, her nice smelling cologne clogging my nostrils.Shs opened the fridge and took two bottles of water. "Higher Heights International High School," her crest read. Of course she attends an international school,I thought as she left, slamming the kitchen door loudly.
