Reyna's POV

I lost track of how long I knelt there. Overwhelming guilt and loss flooding my heart. I couldn't believe that after all we'd been through, he was gone. I turned his ring over and over in my hand.  Apparently, I had knelt there for two and a half days, different friends, like Piper and Frank, dropping by to sit next to me and share my load, when I was paid an unexpected visit. I felt a hand on my shoulder, the touch filling me with warmth and peace. It nourished me and comforted me and I felt my wounds healing. I looked up to see a young girl of about 11, with a simple shawl and dress sitting on the steps on the other side of where Nico had lain. "Lady Hestia?" : I guessed, my voice cracking. The girl nodded and removed her hand. "Tell me about them." : she said. I crossed my legs against my chest, and told her about all we'd been through. My happiest moments and saddest moments with Nico, our best memories and worst fights. Then I told her about Hylla. Hestia let me speak and didn't interrupt once, she was simply present and that was the best thing of all.

At the end, she rose to go. "I am sorry to leave you my child, but I must continue to tend to the hearths of the world." : she said sadly. I bowed, "Thank you for the time you spent with me, my lady." : I replied. She smiled, "One more thing Reyna, grief is a complex emotion. You have to allow yourself to grieve for both Nico and your sister. You don't move on, you pack your memories into boxes and store them. You visit them from time to time, but you don't move on."  Then she disappeared in a flash of golden light.
