3rd person's POV

They walked back to camp, chatting and catching up. They had grown especially close over the past months after the war with the giants and their trip escorting the Athena Parthenos. Lugging a twenty ton ivory gold statue halfway across the world, fending off giants, monsters and angry roman demigod hunters is an exceptional bonding experience.

Even after the war, the two had kept in close contact with one another, via iris messages. They strolled into the mess hall a couple minutes late for dinner, but no one really noticed. With the two extra cohorts occupying the tables of the cabins that left, the mess hall was in an uproar of disorganisation. Chiron had apparently given up trying to direct everyone, and had let the matter pass. Reyna and Nico each grabbed a plate, and their food shimmered into existence.

After sacrificing a portion to their parents, they sat at the Hades table and continued their conversation. Talking over iris messages just wasn’t the same as talking face to face. It was a lot more expensive for sure. After dinner, the romans joined in the camp sing along. It was nice to see the two camps, roman and greek, being able to socialise so easily and peacefully after the millenia long rift.
