Reyna's POV
I hadn't expected him to shadow travel us to wherever we were going, so when we emerged from a shadow of a big ash tree, I stumbled, a little unsteady on my feet. "Haven't shadow travelled in a while huh?" : said Nico with a mischievous twinkle in his eyes. " You've gotten alot better at it," : I admitted, "much smoother now." "Thanks." : he replied. "Now where's this thing you wanted to show me?" : I asked. Nico pointed ahead of us, and I looked around and saw something that stunned the breath from my lungs.
We were standing on a small overhang of rock about the size of a dining room, overlooking the camp half blood canoe lake. The small rocky platform must have been almost invisible to anyone looking up to it from the lake or camp, as it was so high up. "Nice place." : I finally managed to say. "Found it about a week back." : he said, "You're the only person besides me that knows it exists." "What? Aw, thanks Neeks." : I said.
We sat at the edge of the outcrop of rock, dangling our legs over fifty metres of space, enjoying the moon and the silver spears of light it sent spiralling down. Unfortunately, nothing good lasts forever, and as for this peace that I was enjoying at camp half blood, it only lasted another two days.
