Chapter thirteen:

"- tik tok on the clock

but the party don't stop, no

oh, woah, oh ,oh

oh, woah, oh-" we all sing along the radio as Evan turns the radio down.

"Evaaan! Music!" Maria complains from the backseat.

"Sorry guys, but you are terrible singers," he laughs ,"and we‘re there, so no need to stay in the car." he adds.

We all get out and enter the suprisingly big shopping centre.

Once we're in, we decide to eat something first and head to the food area.

"I don't think red is my colour," I say through the closed cabin door.

"Come on, I'm sure you look just great," Maria assures me.

I grab some courage and open the door to step out. Maria looks me up and down, and I feel a little out of place. I usually don't wear colourful things, I like grey. But no, Maria had to see this dress on me.

"Wow," she says turning around and calling Luke, who appears to her right a minute after.

"What do you think?" she asks him.

I didn't expect him to say something, but he blushes and actually looks me in the eyes to tell me "You should wear dresses more often, they suite you."

I blush and don't feel so insecure about myself anymore.

I then change my clothes and go to buy the dress. The others need some more time and I told them I would wait outside of the shop.

I sit down on a bench, ready to listen to some music when I spot a familiar mop of dark hair. It's Zach who's looking through some clothes in the shop across from me. He looks hotter than ever and I have a quite good view of his nice ass.

I admire his hotness for a bit longer when he turns his head aside and I can see his profile. I expected to see his usual pretty face, but I get to see a big bruise on his left cheek.

I open my mouth to gasp, not expecting this at all. Our glances meet and he suddenly looks slightly angry. So I stand up and walk towards him.

"Gosh, what happened to your face?" I ask curiously and touch his bruise softly with my right hand. He looks taken aback from my movement and I take my hand down, looking to the ground.

"Well your friend Sam obviously has a problem with me," he answers trough clenched teeth.

I look up at him confused.

"What do you mean?"

"He told me to stay away from his friends and hit me, like a girl, by the way. My maths teacher saw him before I was able to beat the shit out of him. She gave him detention, otherwise he would be in his bed now, crying about big bad Zach hurting him." he says clearly amused about the idea of Sam crying.

But this doesn't make sense, I thought they didn't know each other. Maria, Evan, Sam or Luke never mentioned him before.

I turn around to see the three of them walking out of the shop, probably looking for me.

"What are you doing here anyway?" I ask to distract him from the fact that I was here with them.

"Go back to your 'friends'", he says, putting the word friends in quotation marks.

"I got things to do, that are worth my time," he adds coolly, hurting not only my pride.
