Chapter three:

So standing in the rain without a jacket on wasn't one of my best ideas. I probably have a cold now and looking in the mirrow I see that my nose is red and my hair is messy.

Trying to feel a little better, I start the shower. I take off my clothes while I wait for the water to warm up.

Finaly stepping into the shower, I feel slightly better and more awake.

Washing myself with my strawberry shampoo, my thoughts begin to drift off.

I only have five days left until I have to take the plain to my father.

I could have a 'good bye-party',  but I might as well just sit at home and pitty myself. Or I make a movie night with Jonas. Well I think that's a real option.

Rinsing off the shampoo I'm ready to step out of the shower. I open the curtain and take a towl to dry myself.

I look a second time in the mirrow and actually see a difference, my blonde hair is acceptable and my green eyes have a hint of life in them.

Walking back to my little room, I pull a grey sweater, which is too big, and a dark jeans out of my closet. I don't feel like wearing light colours, I never do.

I put on my clothes and pull my hair into a messy bun.

It's time for breakfast, 8am to be exact, but I'll just grab something to eat on the way to Jonas, I don't want to sit with my mum.

I call out for my dog and he soon shows up in front of me, so I furrow my hand in his fur "You're a good dog, aren't you?"

He barks as answer and I smile down at him. "Let's go, hm?"

He obeys and we walk upstairs with a fast pace.

I cross my fingers that my mum isn't anywhere near the door, so that I can just escape home for a day without explaining.

I look around the corner and see her laying on the couch, she does this a lot lately. I know I planned to just go out of the house, but even if I'm mad at her, if something's up, then it would be mean of me to just leave.

So I chew on my bottom lip and walk with Ben beside me slowly towards my mother. "Mum? Are you okay? You look a little pale.", I ask watching her every movement.

"Everything's fine, hun. You want to do something special today? You're leaving Monday and you still have to pack all your things.", she reminds me.

"Eh yeah, I'll pack tomorrow. Aaand probably the day after, but now I'm heading to Jonas'."

"Good, but ple-" she doesn't end her sentence, instead she coughs and holds onto me for support.

"You're sure you aren't sick or anything? Maybe-"

"I'm fine, have fun."

I do as I'm told and take Ben outside with me. That was new for her, usually she wouldn't let me go this easy, not that I complain.

Forgetting about it I look down at my dog. He looks back and pants happy, he never looks upset, I could probably learn something from him.

After fifeen minutes we're at this little backery down the street, where my dad used to work before he moved away. I still remember when my dad used to sit me on the counter and I was allowed to give the customers their change back.

Ben's barking brings me back to reality and I thank him silently when I enter the backery.

I buy the usual things, a donought, a pretzel and two coffees. I thank Bob, the old friend of my father who runs Richard's backery now and continue heading to Jonas'.
