I wake up the next day feeling something around my waist. I run my eyes, looking down I see Eddie's arm loosely wrapped around my waist. I look over, seeing his eyes gently closed while he sleeps. I decide to get up and ready before he wakes.

By the time he's awake, I had been fully ready and waiting for him.

"Morning." He smiles

"Morning." I reply

"Sleep well?"

"Yea. I was cold but thanks to you I warmed up." I smirk

"Glad I could help." He laughs

I exit the tent, leaving him to get ready while I help his mom make breakfast. We chat about the days activities.

I finally see Alex and his girlfriend sleepily climb out of the tent, their hair messy and clothes sloppily thrown on. I roll my eyes.

Eddie and I open a map, deciding on going on a hike to see a waterfall. We pack water and snacks and are off.

The others had all gone to some other place, letting Ed and I go alone. We hike through the woods, finally making it into a clearing. We stop to take a quick break.

"This isn't so bad." I say

"Yea I guess it's not as bad as we thought it'd be. At least your mom isn't here to embarrass you." He laughs

"Yea."

We kept walking, making it to the waterfall. We see beautiful trees and animals amongst the scenery. The water gently sprinkled us as we walked closer to the formation. We stayed for a bit, splashing around and having fun but it was eventually time to head back.

We make it back to camp, finding the others chatting and playing games.

"Where have you two been?" Alex asks

"Hiking." I say

Hours pass and we've started another fire. We made sandwiches for dinner and all sat by the fire, chatting and having fun.

"So y/n when are you and Ed gonna start dating?" My mom asks

"Mom! Why would you ask that? Eddie and I are friends that's all." I say

"Alright." She giggles

"No Eddie seriously when are you gonna hop on that?" Alex says

"Alex what the hell?!" Eddie nervously laughs

We all go to bed without another word said. Eddie and I snuggle together to keep warm, I contemplate the things said earlier.

"Eddie do you think that what everyone was saying is crazy?" I ask

"Yea totally crazy." He replies

"Yea haha totally crazy." And with that we were asleep.

Over the next few days, Eddie and I had gotten impossibly closer. We cuddled every night, always stuck together not wanting to hang with the others, and to be honest I'd begun to like him.

I sat outside, sitting by Alex waiting for Eddie to get back from wherever he went off to.

"Hey y/n how's sharing a tent with Ed?" Alex smirks

"Oh it's fine." I say

"Anything interesting happen?"

"What do you mean?"

"I feel like you two are way closer than before...like something happened." He says

"I don't know what your talking about." I say

"Of course you do!" He says

"Nope."

"You like my brother."

"No. Where'd you get that from?"

"It's obvious. You two are always hanging out and laughing and you get so close with each other."

"Yea, best friends do that sometimes."

"Whatever, you totally got it bad for him." Alex walks away

I contemplate what he said, was it really that obvious? Eddie soon came back, a bundle of firewood in his arms. He sets it all beside the fire pit and walks over to me.

"Hey." He says

"Hey."

"Was Alex bugging you?"

"Not really."

For the rest of the day, Eddie and I hiked and got ice cream. It was a little after dinner and we had all sat down at the table, chatting.

"Did anyone else feel a drop of rain?" My mom asks

Soon enough it started to pour and we all rushed into our tents. The rain pattered on the thick fabric of the tents. I look over to see Eddie looking for his jacket. This would be the perfect time to tell him.

Minutes pass and I try to come up with what I'd say. I hope I wouldn't sound stupid or cheesy. Eddie looks over at me.

"Everything alright there y/n?" He asks

"Oh yea." I rub the back of my neck

"Y/n can we talk?" He says

"Of course. What's up?"

"Well uh I- we've been spending a lot of time together and it's been fun like really fun and I just I really like you. You're just so much fun and I just think you're amazing and you make me so happy and on top of all that your absolutely gorgeous and-" he stops

"Eddie-"

"Can I kiss you?" He says looking into my eyes

I nod. Our lips graze against each other, softly moving together. His tongue finds its way into my mouth. His hands found my hair, my whole body tingling with joy and my cheeks get hot. My toes curled at the taste of his lips, vanilla and cigarettes.

We pull apart, my heart skipping a beat as the scent of his cologne drifts away.

"Eddie I- I like you too, like a lot."
