GROWING UP WITH THE SHELBY FAMILY, ELEANOR SAW MANY THINGS; and what she saw most was that the wisest, level-brained led the pack, and the brute that used brawn over brain was the right-hand man. In Eleanor's young mind, it only made sense to become both the brain and the brawn, and she did just that.

She watched the boys be groomed into perfect Peaky men, all while sewing the blades into their flat caps. She watched how they threw punches and shot their guns, and then turned around and listened to how they talked about gambling and numbers, and everything in between.

Eleanor grew up to be just as dangerous as any of the Peaky Blinders, and when the boys returned from the war, she donned a cap of her own that any man with a will to live would never dare to take from her head.

She stood right alongside Tommy Shelby throughout his whole life, and the two were thicker than thieves. They spoke with nothing but a short glance, they moved together in scary synchronization, and could take a group of grown men without displacing a hair on their heads.

Best friends since childhood, they were inseparable, and those who had tried to come between them had been the ones to suffer in the end. Despite this fact, it didn't stop the few people that dared to try and do such a thing.

But it remained the same, no matter what. There was nothing that could come between Eleanor Price and Thomas Shelby. Not a war, and certainly not a woman- or a man.
