"OH, YOU'VE GOTTEN SO BIG," Eleanor cooed as she knelt before Ada's swollen stomach, her hands caressing the bump gently. "I can't believe it, Ada,"

The Shelby girl nods, mirroring Eleanor's disbelief. "I know, I feel like I'm going to pop at any second."

Eleanor rests her hands on Ada's stomach, looking up at the girl. "You think it's a boy?"

Ada nods, a small smile on her face. "I know it sounds stupid, but I can feel it, you know? It'll be a little boy."

"It's not stupid, Ada, it's a mother's intuition." She shakes her head, looking back at the bump her hands lay on. "You'd better be a little boy, you hear me? I've got enough nieces from John, I need a little nephew."

Ada sighs, her exhaustion making itself known. Worry fills her briefly, and Eleanor stands, straightening out her clothes. "What is it, Ada?"

"You promise you've not told Tommy that we're staying here?"

Eleanor scoffs. "Of course not, Ada. He's not even speaking to me right now,"

"What? Why not?"

The girl shrugs, taking a seat across from the Shelby. "I nearly ruined a business deal with Billy Kimber."

Ada's eyes widened impossibly. "The Billy Kimber? Hasn't Tommy been trying to do business with him since they came home?"

"I'd rather fuck up a business deal than have a guilty conscience."

"You're the only one of us that could do something like that and not get killed," Ada shakes her head in disbelief. "You're lucky the only thing he's doing is giving you the silent treatment. Where is everyone, anyways?"

"John called a family meeting, who knows what for," Eleanor rolls her eyes. "I told him I'd rather stay at the house with Finn than deal with his issues this early in the morning."

Ada nods understandingly, but worry shines in her eyes. "And Evie won't tell anyone, right?"

Eleanor shrugs a shoulder. "Not unless she wants me to tell everyone she's with her brother right now."

Ada breathes a small sigh of relief, and Eleanor leans forward, resting her hand atop the woman's. "It's alright, Ada, I won't tell anyone. Just stay here and relax, alright? I told Freddie he could come back anytime and you two could have a meal together or something, I'll leave some money for you."

The younger girl smiles, nodding her gratitude. "I don't know what I'd do without you, Eleanor."

The woman stands, pressing a kiss to Ada's head as she walked through her living room. "You'd be fine, darling. You and Pol are the only ones with a bit of sense."
