We'll Find Them... (A Lukanette Story)

ADRIEN

Adrien had snuck out of his house at night again. He knew that now Ladybug was back and he didn't need to do the night patrols as Cat Noir, but he felt lonely at his home. Out in the city as Cat Noir, he was alone as well, but at least not lonely. 

He was sitting on a roof-top, thinking about his past days and analyzing whatever had happened. Ladybug had gone missing, Cat Noir had chosen Luka to help him as Viperion because... Because? For one scary moment, Cat Noir was not able to remember why exactly had he given Luka the snake miraculous but then he did, because Luka seemed like a good candidate, because he genuinely cared about Paris and Ladybug, because Master Fu had told him to give the miraculous to someone whom he could trust and he trusted Luka. That seemed enough of a reason.

Cat Noir knew where he was, he was somewhere around Marinette's house. For some reason, this is where he wanted to be for now. He didn't know if he wanted to talk to Marinette or something, because what will he even say? Hey Marinette, I had a haywire of a month and I was wondering if I could tell you about it, even though you must have forgotten everything about it until now! Plus, she must be sleeping right now.

He was in the middle of this thought, when he heard someone say, "Cat Noir?" he turned and to his surprise, it was Marinette.

"Marinette?" Cat Noir exclaimed and went towards her balcony, "Why aren't you asleep yet?"

"You know, I could ask the same thing." She said.

"Yeah, you are not a superhero, I am."

Marinette smiled and said, "I have been called the everyday Ladybug by a friend, so I kinda am."

Cat Noir remembered he had called Marinette their class' everyday Ladybug and Car Noir had to hide his expression because it would clearly show how glad and surprised  he was that Marinette actually remembered that, to change the subject he said, "What were doing up right now anyway?"

"I had my dinner late today, I was with someone..."

"Ooh! Who was it, someone special?" Cat Noir teased Marinette and wiggled his eyebrows. Although, as Adrien, Cat Noir didn't tease people, but as Cat Noir, this was what he did best. Marinette blushed and looked away which made Cat Noir think that she might be actually be out with someone special.

"No, really?"

Marinette laughed and said, "Maybe I was. I was with Luka Couffaine. I don't think you know him though."

Cat Noir wished he could tell Marinette that he does know Luka but obviously he couldn't. "I might have heard his name, but I don't know..."

"Well, he is great! He is the lead singer in a band, Kitty Section and I design costumes for them. He is a great guitar player. Oh, you must know Juleka, he is her elder brother."

Cat Noir could see Marinette's excitement when she talked about Luka and Cat Noir was actually very happy for her. He remembered the day when Marinette had brought Luka along to the ice rink when he went there with Kagami, she had been supportive of those two, in fact it was her idea to take her to the ice-rink. Now it was his turn.

"Wow that sounds great, Marinette."

Marinette smiled in response, "What are you doing here right now?" She asked.

"Well, night patrol? I couldn't sleep and work makes me sleep." He shrugged.

Marinette laughed again and said, "Well, I think you should go and have some sleep. Not getting enough rest isn't good for your health."

That sounds so much like you, Cat Noir thought but he knew she was right. Plus, he needed to go to school tomorrow, and if he falls sick due to the lack of sleep, he won't be able to meet his friends.

"You're right, I better get some sleep. Plus, I am really hoping that Hawk Moth is having a good night's sleep right now. Good night, purr-inces!" And with that, he started jumping back towards his house.

"Good night, Cat Noir!" Marinette yelled behind him.

Yaay! A Christmas surprise! Merry Christams people! I hope you liked this chapter, I had a hard time deciding if this chapter should be from Marinette's POV or Adrien's but went with the latter. What do you think? By the way,the reason Cat Noir couldn't remember why he chose Luka for the miraculous is because Bunnix made him forget about Marinette disappearing, it is in the previous chapters but I specified in case you got confused.
