"Ash, Ash, Ash!" The blonde tried to shake her boyfriend alive, "Ash wake up, you're scaring me!"

Delia had reopened her little experiment a few days after Gary's big reveal.

This time, with Serena.

The four of them had seen things during those sessions, but none had been worthwhile. They were either from a few hours, days ago or sometimes they were live transmissions.

Today was the second day of the experiment and Ash
had seen something... disturbing.

Of course, being the hero he was, he'd refused to burned others with the news. But Serena knew, she'd felt it. And when he'd started groaning in pain in the middle of the night, it was confirmed.

Serena was up on her elbows, violently shaking him alive, sick with worry. His t-shirt was drenched in sweat and his body was shaking with pain.

"Ash!" She cried, "honey, wake up!"

When his eyes flung open, Serena heaved a sigh of relief. However, her respite was short-lived.

She was a little too preoccupied to notice how black his eyes suddenly looked, his pupils were more dilated than they should've been.

Upon seeing Serena's face hovering over his body, his facial expression had suddenly changed. His eyebrows were raised his alarm, his nostrils fumed in anger and his lips curled into a snarl.

By the time the blonde could comprehend what was going to happen. Ash's arm came flying towards her, directly hitting her trachea. Serena fell back with a temporary laryngeal fracture, her head bonked against the nightstand.

By the time Ash woke up, Serena was already on the ground, gasping for air.

"Serena?" Said the raven-haired with worry, "Serena!"

He rushed to her side, nearly toppling off the side of the bed, as soon as his vision returned to normal. As he helped her up, he couldn't help but notice the small pool of blood on the floor.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" He kept on muttering as remorse took over her heart.

He put pressure on the wound on the back of her head till her airway trauma was resolved.

"Let's go," he said, "come on, your head is bleeding!"

Despite his constant requests, Serena kept on denying them. "Gary... knows... this," her voice was raspy.

"I'm sorry," he said, "I'm so sorry... I'm so—"

Serena put her finger on her lips, he didn't have enough strength in her to console the raven-haired.

But she did have a question.

"What... did... you... see?"

Ash looked down on the floor, his eyes unable to meet hers.

"Death," said Ash Ketchum.

That was the last time Serena spent in his room.
