"Oh my Arceus," Serena exasperated, "let it go, Ash! I've apologized a thousand times."

"Let it go, huh," he parted glances, "Just like the mutual trust in our relationship."

"Say what?" Asked Dawn, confusingly.

"I'll fill in later," Gary whispered, "right now, I'm enjoying this."

Serena scoffed at her brother and boyfriend. It was the middle of the night and the four of them were getting ready to leave for the Island of Bade Khen. The storm brewing on the outside had not yet settled, it had the same rage as it did on the first day.

They were standing inside the doors, safe from the ferocity of the hurricane Oynx. Serena couldn't help but go over and over every little detail of their mission.

'Don't leave your positions,' she'd emphasized.

'Yes,' Ailsa had said, 'because if you're left there, you have to use the tooth and die because once they know that we know about Bade Khen, it is over. They'll change the location.'

Before going out in the rain, Serena had gone over the little details one more time. That's when Ash had remarked that it would've helped if she'd thought twice before tattling about him to Ailsa.

Serena's nostrils fumed in anger as his latest remark. She'd tried explaining it a hundred times that the words she told Ailsa were just a ruse, but Ash refused to hear her.

"Now it's enough," she said, "stop acting like a baby."

"I will when you stop acting like a bitch."

Her jaw dropped open in awe. Serena dropped her weapons, curled her hand into a fist, and got ready to latch on to her son of a bitch boyfriend.

"That's it! You're a dead man Ash Ketchum!"

But before she could jump upon him, Gary caught her by the waist, dragging her away from his friend who'd fallen backward with awe.

"You were going to hit me?!" He took Dawn's hand and helped himself up.

"Well, you tried to choke me!"

"Oh my Arceus," Dawn gasped and let go of his hand, "I did not expect this from you, Ash Ketchum!"

"What? When did I do that!"

Serena chewed her lip, in the heat of the moment she'd forgotten the lie she told him. It was a weak effort from her side when he was at his lowest.

"In my dream," she gulped.

"You were dreaming I killed you?!"

That did not make things better, she grunted.

"Let's just go, we're getting late."

This was Serena's first time piloting through a storm. She'd piloted through a crossfire and blizzard but not rain, this was her first.

'Remember, it can't get to you,' Charlus had given his advice through a video chat before they left, 'and never drive right through lighting! Turbulence is okay but not—"

'Geez, this isn't her first time.' Gary cursed beneath her breath, 'we gotta go.'

Their meeting with their dad had been shot.

Soon after Serena found out the truth, Charlus had to leave for some work that Ailsa had assigned him. He didn't reveal what it was, the only thing they knew about it was that it was 'short' and 'quick'.

Gary had said that he didn't care, Serena had shot him an apologetic glance.

When they'd left Hald Fest, there was a frightened expression on everyone's face. Serena knew that this mission wasn't as 'quick' or 'simple' as Ailsa portrayed it to be.

It was dangerous and anything but 'simple'.

She took a look back, all three of her partners had strapped themselves tight to their seats amidst the terrible turbulence.

She couldn't help but glance at Ash with long full wishing. This task had left their relationship knee-deep in sewage, they'd tried to dig their way out but ended up creating a puddle that was too big and deep to navigate out.

It'll get better, she reassured herself, after this is over, it has to get better. It's Ash, he'll understand.

The turbulence throughout their way to Bade Khen didn't bother Serena, it was nothing compared to the conflict inside her.

Serena didn't want to admit it, but the storm helped their cause to sneak into the Island without getting detected. The facility at Bade Khen was hundreds of years old, like Hald Fest, it was difficult to detect but for some reason, Ailsa had known all about it.

'It's off the coast of Hoenn,' Ailsa had correctly deduced when Serena told her of her dream, 'It's almost winter, Butterfree goes south to Alola from Hoenn during this time. It's the Bade Khen. It's an underground facility, I'll bring up the charts.'

Ailsa had refused to answer when they asked her why she knew so much about that particular island.

The answer was somewhat unpleasant.

Just as she'd predicted, there was an open hatch around the furthermost corner of the island. According to her grandmother, it used to be a launch site, but now, it lay opened and clogged with rain.

Serena landed the jet on the open hatch as quietly as she could.

"Let's go," her heart was thumping so loud that she could hear her heartbeat, "we have fifteen minutes."

They ran towards a little door that Ailsa had predicted to be there, the downpour was getting more powerful. The draft was hindering their plans but at the same time, covering up their tracts.

"For the last time," Serena said as she placed the detonator on the little door, "don't leave your posts."

In a jiffy, the door blew open and thus began her plan.
