Natasha's POV.
"I was going to take her home. I was going to take both of you home." Lillia says.
"And where is home?" I ask asks.
"You still don't know?"
"Choose your next words carefully. I put poison in that cookie and I have the antidote. Go too far and you're a dead girl walking. That's a great name for an all girls rock band." She adds.
"'I have no place in the world'." Lillia says cryptically.
I remember that. I grew up with that phrase.
"That sentence will haunt me for my entire life. I do have a place in the world." Alina says.
"Lina, you need to cool down. We don't want a Code Blue."
"I'm not having a Code Blue."
"You have a place in the world. At home, with us." Lillia says.
"That's not my home. The Avengers are my home." Lina says.
"That will change when they know where we were trained."
"Wouldn't the Avengers like to know that you were trained in the Red Room?"
"You- you were trained in the Red Room?" I stutter out. Alina has a look of horror on her face and she just sprints out of here.
"Lina!" I shout, trying to get her attention.
We were all trained in the Red Room. I'm surprised that I didn't know, being a master spy.
I whip out my phone and text the Avengers.
NatRomanoff: Guys, Lina just ran off. We met with Lillia and she dropped a major bombshell about Lina's past. I saw Lina panic and she just ran off. We need to find her before she freezes.
IronDude: What?!?!
Spider-ManRulz: Alina ran away?
Capsicle: Bucky and I are heading out to find her.
IronDude: I'll call Point Break and Reindeer Games.
ArrowGuy: Wait, Lina's missing?
Spider-ManRulz: Yes, she's missing. Where've you been?
ArrowGuy: My farm.
NatRomanoff: EVERYONE GET OFF YOUR BUTTS AND FIND MY LITTLE SHADOW!!!
Capsicle: You didn't need to use all caps.
NatRomanoff: IT CONVEYS EMOTION AND I'M PRETTY UPSET
I hop in the car Lina and I took to get here and I drive home, not caring about running red lights and speeding. I want Lina back. It's funny how you realize how much you care about someone when they're gone. Maybe if I hadn't reacted like I did, Lina would be sitting next to me. Maybe we could've been happy. A family. I need to find her. She could freeze or get kidnapped! No, she can defend herself. If I can, she can. We have the same roots, after all. Trained in the same place, raised the same way.
I don't trust easily, but something about Alina makes her easy to trust. Maybe it's something she learned, maybe she's just easy to trust. Either way, she's earned the trust of all of the Avengers. Even Fury trusts her and Fury doesn't trust many people. Where would I go if my biggest secret was revealed? Home? Maybe she's hiding in Avengers Compound.
NatRomanoff: Check the Compound. If you find Lina, tell me and be extremely gentle. Don't interrogate her. She could freak out and we all know that she could kill us all in an instant.
