Chapter 24

-YOU REPLACED ME-

Karina's POV

When he said he's just starting, he really meant it. It's been a three weeks since our encounter in his apartment and all those weeks he didn't missed a beat to make me suffer. He never gave me a break, all the food stains and hurtful words are embedded in me already. Tasha became crueler than before too, she always makes my day as bad as Raven could do. Whenever I'm alone, her hurtful words and disgusting names are the only thing that I'm hearing, she even trips me just to make fun of me but I stood strong. I won't gonna let them make me back down.

I was silently walking towards the other guests to give them the food they ordered when someone's feet touched mine causing me to trip and out of balance as the plates which contains food and soups came falling on me and boy, I'm telling you they're all smoking hot. I'm thankful in didn't burnt my skin but maybe it'll turn red later.

"Oh gosh." The other customers gasped as the scene came unfolding in front of their eyes.

"Serves you right." Tasha murmured before passing by me and I just closed my eyes from the humiliation that I just received. I'm so close at my breaking point. One more and I swear I can't take it anymore.

"Say sorry!" A loud voice made my eyes opened and searched for the owner of that voice only to find my bestfriend, Aria who's holding Tasha's arm to keep her away from running. Tasha on the other hand just glared at her. What is she doing here?

Trying hard to push myself up, I got on my feet as I walked towards the two girls with deadly glares. "A-Aria..it's fine." I whispered when I got to her direction. Mike is with her and he's standing beside her while trying to calm her girlfriend.

"No it's not. Is this even tolerable here?"  She questioned as the people murmured things around us. I'm causing an scene, again.

"Get your hands off me bitch!" Tasha spat her words as Aria's eyes glared at her even more. I've never seen her this much angry before. Half of me is thankful but the other half is afraid. This is just too much and I don't want this to grew big even more.

"Mike calm her." I looked at Mike and he just shook his head on defeat. Even him can't stop Aria right now.

"Aria I'm fine–"

"How do you know I'm a bitch?–Oh! Why am I even asking? Of course it takes a bitch to know a bitch, BITCH!" She cut my sentence as she spat those words to Tasha like a poison. My head is hurting, someone please make this stop now.

"How dare you–" Without letting go of Tasha's arm, Aria even pulled her closer as her nails dig in her flesh causing Tasha to winced in pain.

Aria smirked at her before saying, "How dare me? No bitch, how dare you! Dressing this short on a place like this, aren't you a desperate bitch? You see all the uniform here? They're looking decent and yet you're tainting them with your slutty taste." Aria paused as Tasha's face grew red from the shame and anger. "Sorry not sorry to burst your bubble but this is not a strip club. So go parade your disgusting face and behavior on a place called trashcan." And with that Aria let go of her with a push making Tasha to stumble on her high heels and earning a loud laugh from the crowd.

Before I could ask Aria why they're here, a deep and husky voice interrupted me. "What's happening here?" He asked. Oh no, of all the people who'll come to check what's going on in here, he's the one who arrived.

"S-sir.. I– I-it's Karina's fault." Tasha stuttered as I felt his presence behind me. Aria is also looking at him with fear but then it was replaced with anger.

"I saw what happened here!" Aria stated while glaring at Tasha who's sobbing like a kid. Wow, I'm the bad guy now?

"Speak." Raven's deep and cold tone sent shivers down my spine and making the hair behind my nape to rise.

"This one here, " Aria pointed at Tasha's direction before continuing, " is causing a lot of mess at Karina. Karina is walking with trays of food in her hands when this girl strides like a bitch and trip Karina with her feet and now she's being a drama queen!" She explained as she pulled me towards her.

Raven didn't say anything and I didn't dared to turn around and look at his direction, he's unpredictable and I don't want to know what is he plotting in his mind right now.

"Are you okay?" Aria asked me as she scanned my whole body.

"I-I'm fine..don't worry." I assured her with a smile in my face. I'm not fine at all, I'm scared and I want to cry. All I want to do is to let this heaviness in my heart out just to feel fine.

She's busy asking questions and looking for any injuries when Raven cleared his throat. But still, I didn't looked at him. I kept my back on him. I don't want to see him. I tried quiting but he kept ignoring it.

"I apologise for this mess.. Miss.." He trailed with his usual deep yet cold tone. "Aria Campbell, Karina's best friend." She answered.

"Best friend.. I see. Interesting." Raven's voice became dangerous and dark all of a sudden and my whole body stiffened when I heard his voice behind me. "I didn't know you have a.. best friend, Miss Karina." Closing my eyes, I forced myself to turn around then opened them again just to be met by his icy grey orbs. His staring deeply into my eyes as if sucking all of the energy that's left on my body and it made me weak.

"I-I believe it's none of your business Sir Raven." I stuttered then gulped hard when his lips turned on an evil smirk. Oh no, please not again. I've had enough for this day.

"I want to meet you in my office Tasha and.. you, Miss Karina Collins." Raven said without looking away from me. On my peripheral vision, Tasha stomped on her way towards his office while I'm still glued on my spot. What should I do? I tried so hard not to be notice here and not to complain even tho Tasha kept picking on me, I didn't dared to say something about it just so Raven won't give me a lot of attention but now, I don't think I can escape him. Wait, his office?

Memories of being in his office the first time I saw him after so long came crushing through my brain and my whole body heats up all of a sudden. What's happening to me? Inhale.. then exhale Karina, Tasha will be there. I won't be alone there.

"Why her? Tasha is the one who caused a lot of mess and not Karina." Aria tried to argue but Raven looked at her dead in the eyes.

"I suggest you to sit down Miss Aria Campbell and finish your food together with your boyfriend. Everything is under control and once again, I apologise." Aria tried opening her mouth for protest but Raven already turned around and started to walk away after apologizing from the commotion that I caused.

I followed behind after telling Aria that I'll be fine. She's worried but sat down anyways and continue the thing their doing before what happened.

Silence invaded us while we're walking on an empty corridor which leads to his office. My phone suddenly buzz and I stopped for a moment to read the message, it's from Aria.

-Are you okay?-

-Yes I'm fine, don't worry. I'll meet you later.– I replied and put my phone back on my pocket when someone snatched it away from my hand as I let's out a gasp.

"You just didn't betrayed me, you also replaced me." His voice is laced with venom and ice. My phone is still on his hand as I tried getting it without talking back to him but he have other plans.

Raven suddenly pushed me on the wall, my back was collided with the cold hard wall behind me as he grabbed my both wrist and pulled them up my head so I couldn't do anything. His knee came contact in between my thighs, trapping me like a helpless prey.

Someone, please come to my rescue before the ruthless predator munch me mercilessly.
