-REMINISCING-
Karina's POV
As I enter my apartment, I was pulled into a tight hug as Hiro whispers on my ear, "I miss you so much princess."
Huh? Oh— he's already here.
I blinked multiple times, breaking myself away from my thoughts as I smiled at him warmly, "I miss you too Hiro. Why didn't you tell me you're coming back?" I asked as I pouted my bottom lip, he chuckles when he saw my action as he pulled me on the couch, settling me on his side then he smiled at me. He's so gorgeous and handsome, but there's thing thing that he doesn't have that Raven have. Wait! Why am I thinking of that asshole again?
"I told you, it was a surprise. By the way.." he paused then looked at me seriously.
"Is that.. Raven? I mean, your childhood friend?" He finished as I stilled on my seat then gulped hard. The thing is, I haven't told him what really happened to us. All he knows is that Raven is my long lost childhood friend. Only Aria knows because I told her. Now I'm feeling bad that he doesn't know anything but I guess it's for the best that he doesn't know what Raven and I's history. Knowing Hiro, I know he'll fight Raven even if I say no.
When we're in highschool, he broke a boy's nose when I was bullied by them. He stood in front of me with glaring eyes as he threw punches on the face of my bully. After that, no boys or girls dared to bully me again. Aria started calling him my 'Knight in shining armor'. Hiro is like a big brother to me and I'm glad that we met again after so many years.
"Yeah..he is." I muttered with a tight smile on my lips as I tried hard not to avoid his gaze. If I do, he'll sense that something is wrong.
"You must be so happy you two reunited again." He mumbled in a low tone as I looked at him. He's looking at me with those blue glistening eyes of him. Something passed his eyes but then it's gone again. What was that?
"Y-yeah I am." Gosh, why did I stutter!? I hope he didn't noticed.
Clearing my throat, I turn to face him then smiled. "So, how've you been doing?" I asked, changing the subject.
"I've been fine, have to do shits for my parents and run their company. My everyday is tiring, I have to sign this and sign that." He sighed then leans back on my sofa, looking tired. "I rarely get day offs even if I'm the owner's son. It's so hard there but thank God dad sent me here for business. Now I could see you..and Aria of course. Though I won't be long here and have to come back there, I'm still happy I get to see now again." He chuckled.
"What business is that?" I asked, getting curious as to why he's here when he have work in there.
"A business deal actually. I haven't looked at the company's name because I was excited to see you..and Aria." He mumbled as he took my hand then caressed it lightly. "I really missed you."
"I missed you too. Those days without you were hard. We thought you wouldn't come back ever again. It's hard to lose another person that's important to you so I'm really happy that you're back now even though it's just temporary." I pouted at the last part. It's making me sad that he have to go back in there again and leave us again. I don't want him to leave.
"I'm sorry I can't stay beside you." He rasped as he pulled me in between his arms. I love his warmth, it's comforting and cozy. This is making me sad, I don't want to be left behind ever again.
"Hmm.. don't say sorry." I shook my head as I hugged him back tightly. My tears are threatening to fall as I tried to blink them away. I shouldn't be sad right now, at least he's here now even tho it will just be in a short period of time.
