-FEVER-
Karina's POV
My alarm clock woke me up this morning but my head and body feels so heavy. It feels like tons of blocks are crashing me with it's weight. My head is throbbing and when I open my eyes, I felt like the room is moving. Gosh, what's happening?
Closing my eyes and inhaling deeply, I dragged myself out of my bed as I walked towards the bathroom barely making it. I have to go to the hotel today, I have to quit as soon as possible.

Okay, here we go. It's now or never Karina, don't mess this up. You have to stay away from him. Knowing that he's doing fine is enough, no need to stick around.
I went inside the hotel and was surprised by Tasha, she dragged me with her through the kitchen.
"W-wait–"
"Wait what Karina? And why aren't you wearing your uniform!?" She scolded me as I looked at her confusedly.
"No I–"
"Oh shut up will you! Now take this and go serve them outside, we have important guests today so go to work!" And after she spat those words right in front my face, she shoved a tray full of foods on me before storming out the kitchen.
Sighing deeply, I decided to do what she told me to do. I walked out from the kitchen then served the guests the foods they ordered then went back to our locker room to change my clothes. I guess one more day of staying here is alright, I'll just quit later once I've done my work.
I haven't done tying my hair in a ponytail when Tasha came inside with a glare in her eyes and her red lips are pursed together in a thin line. Okay, what now?
"Clean the kitchen." She said and I stared at her in disbelief.
"What? Where's the janitor?" I asked, completely dumbfounded.
"Can you just do it without saying another word? The janitor isn't here today and you have to clean the kitchen then after that throw the garbage bags onto the trash bin outside." And when I didn't said anything, her hand gripped my arm, digging her long nails on my skin as I tried hard not to winced in pain. I swear this girl is half animal. "Do it." She said.
"Where's Aya?" I asked, realizing that she's not here. I haven't seen her since I got here this morning.
"She quit. Her mother got sick and needed her help." Tasha simply hissed as she released my arm with force causing me to stumble a bit before storming outside.
As I moved, I felt the whole room rotated, luckily I got a hold of my locker door that's why I didn't ended up on the floor. I'm feeling dizzy.
After calming myself and making sure I'm alright, I went outside then went back on doing my work. I did what Tasha said. By the time I finished serving foods I quickly went to the kitchen to clean the mess in there and after that I picked up the garbage bags and put them outside in the trash bin. Gosh, they're so heavy and I carried like four garbage bags.

It's now pass noon, Tasha is nowhere to be found and I'm feeling worse than before, my head is throbbing so much in pain and feels so heavy. My whole body is like burning and beads of sweats appeared on my forehead as the whole place rotates.
Walking towards the kitchen, I felt like my feet ain't even touching the ground. It's like I'm flying but with a headache. The ground is shaking and the ceiling are rotating. My body feels like on fire and my throat gone dry.
"Karina! What are you doing here?" It's Tasha. She appeared now? Really?
"I just need a drink." I explained while looking at her slightly blurry figure. What's happening? I blinked twice while still looking at her but it didn't help at all, Tasha's figure is so soft and blurry.
"That can wait," She pulled me with her outside as she shoved a tray full of foods on me. She added, "Go! Damn don't be such a baby. If you're expecting me to spoil you here then you're wrong." Then she pushed me on the back as my whole world flipped.
My eyes slowly closed as my body fell out of balance completely and all I could do was to wait my body to be collided with the floor but to my surprise, it didn't happen.
A pair of strong arms gripped me before lifting my body in the air, pulling me away from the floor that I'm waiting as I heard the shattering of glasses and plates on the floor.
"Fuck." That's the last thing I heard before darkness consumed my consciousness.

"Just give her these medicines and she'll be alright in no time." A voice came right through my ear but my eyes remained closed. I'm feeling so tired and my eyelids were too heavy to be lifted, same with my whole body.
"Thanks James." A deep baritone voice forced my eyes to open as I was blinded with the bright light. Where the heck am I?
I glanced around when my eyes adjusted from the light, stopping at the two figures who's talking just beside my bed. The guy who's facing my way is dressed in a white cloth which I think is a doctor while the other guy is just standing there, his back was on me but I'm pretty sure I know who he is.
"You're welcome Raven. I'll come back later to check her or just call me." I knew it. The guy walked out the door as I braced myself for this guy who's still standing in front of me, his back is still facing my direction and I silently prayed that he wouldn't turn but he did.
My eyes widened as my throat suddenly gone dry. "You're awake." He said in a low tone while dangerously walking towards my direction. I sat up immediately and gulped, hard.
Finally finding my voice, I looked up at him. "W-where am I?" I stuttered, clutching the comforter on my hands tightly. I needed something to hold on to or else I'll fall back to bed.
"My condo." I nodded then bites my lower lip nervously.
"W-why am I h-here?" I questioned again then looked at him who's still standing firmly. He looks like a Greek god.
"You collapsed a while ago so I took you here. The doctor said you have a fever," he paused then points something on the table, "If you'll take them, you'll recover in no time." He finished. Two different capsules are on the table, I assumed they're medicines for my fever. But, should I trust him? What if he'll try to poison me and kill me?– shut up Karina.
"Thanks.." I mumbled softly and I looked down on my lap when a thing fell down from my forehead. What's this?
Picking it up, I realized that it's a towel and it's still a little damp. N-no way.. he couldn't.. – my eyes shifted to the small basin that's full of water on the bedside table then I looked at him again.
"Y-you.. took care of me?" I whispered, searching his eyes when he smirked at me.
"I can't let my employee die, specially when they're inside my hotel. Besides it'll be a waste of time looking for another one." His words stung so bad.
My eyes waters and before I could stop them, my tears then already raced down my cheeks as they fell from the thick comforter on my lap.
