13-Screw The Council

Anakin's POV
Obi-Wan and I just finished taking out the separatist fighter ships that were attacking Coruscant. We're currently escorting people back inside the temple as well as assuring them that the threat is over and it is safe to go home.

"I'm going to have to make a few calls with the council so we can get this mess cleaned up there is debris everywhere and small damage to the temple and some surrounding businesses," Obi-Wan sighed as we were walking back inside the temple, "There had to have been a specific reason for this attack.. a distraction maybe?" He furrowed his brows in confusion, "I sense Dooku is planning something and we need to figure out what it is." He stroked his beard as he stared off to the side, lost in thought.

"Another day Obi-Wan," I placed my hand on his shoulder, "We'll rest tonight and come up with a plan tomorrow, we came out on top today so let's enjoy ourselves ." I smiled at him. I was being a little selfish, I just wanted to go see (y/n) so we can finish our conversation and I wanted to make sure she was okay. But I also wanted to calm my master, he always overworked himself and hardly ever took the time to rest, he's always on the move. We now have fighters positioned outside the temple and around Coruscant so we will know if another attack is going to happen. But I'm confident Dooku won't be dumb enough to try again after the horrible loss he just endured.

"I wish I had your optimism my old padawan," he chuckled, "But I guess you're right I should rest. Although I have a bad feeling that Dooku got whatever it was he wanted from this attack."

"What do you think it could have been?" I questioned. I could hardly think of anything that Dooku would've wanted. And not a single fighter was able to land so I know there are no separatists in Coruscant. But I know my master and he is very wise and his connection with the force is unlike any of the other masters. When he feels something he is usually right.

"That's what I'm unsure of, goodnight Anakin." He nodded to me but still held a look of confusion and concern, I know his thoughts were running wild in his head right now, I could feel them. He was troubled and I knew he wasn't going to get any sleep tonight.

"Goodnight master," I bowed and headed to (y/n)'s room instead of my own. As I was walking through the hallway I was bumped into by someone who was wheeling a laundry cart.

"Sorry sir." The woman, whose face I couldn't see see, apologized but continued walking down the corridor. I nodded in her direction and kept walking to (y/n)'s room.

I reached her door only to see that it was left open. I slowly entered, "(y/n)?" I called for her but it didn't look like she was in here. I checked the bathroom which was also empty and her closet was left open and it was completely empty. Did she leave? I felt my heart sink. Was she too afraid of what happened between us after the party that she decided to up and leave without telling me anything?

No she wouldn't have. Right?

I ran out to a speeder to check Padmé's apartment, I reached her balcony and Padme came out still in her dress from her party with a confused expression on her face. "Anakin?"

"Have you seen (y/n)?" I asked her while walking into her apartment, looking around the room for any indication that she might be here.

"No, she left the party in a hurry and when I came home BD-1 was gone and 3PO told me she came to take him," she stepped closer to me, "why Ani is everything okay? Did she get caught in the attack?"

I sighed, "I don't know Padme," I walked over to the couch to sit down and I placed my head in my heads. I was gonna tell Padme what happened between (y/n) and I. I knew I could trust her, she was my oldest friend here, "After she left the party I followed her and we kissed in her room," I smiled at the memory, "It was amazing.. but then the attack happened and I haven't seen her since," I looked up to meet Padmé's gaze to see what she was feeling about the situation and she only looked concerned for me, "I went to her room and all her stuff was gone, I keep thinking she got scared and left."
