24-Show Them To Me

We ran down the steps of the palace to rush to the cruiser. "Rex were coming, get ready!" Anakin shouted through his comlink.

"Yes sir!"

We heard blasters shooting from behind us and Anankin and Obi-Wan were deflecting them before they hit us. I saw the cruiser straight ahead and we all began to pick up our pace. Rex and a few other clones began shooting over our heads at the guards behind us from the ramp.

"Take off!" Padme shouted as we reached the ship and the cruiser lifted off the ground and the ramp closed. All three of us were bent over catching our breathe. I felt the ship break the atmosphere and I finally felt at peace, I was away from him.

"Good to have you back General." Rex placed a hand on my shoulder and instead of our normal pleasantries I hugged him. Last time I saw him we were dying, I never got to let him know how I relieved I was that him and Fives lived. He tensed a little, clones were not used to contact, but he hugged me back.

"Good to see you alive Rex." I pulled from the hug.

"My turn." My master pulled me into a hug next and I had to stop myself from crying. I was so happy to be with them again. He pulled away from me but kept a hand on my shoulder, "Im glad you're home and safe, you gave us all quite a scare, twice." He chuckled referring to almost dying from a virus and then immediately being kidnapped.

"Glad to be back." I beamed.

I heard Anakin clear his throat and I knew he was waiting for me to come to him. I smiled at him and grabbed his hand pulling him out of the cockpit, "We'll be right back." I told everyone and Obi-Wan and Padme held smirks while the clones turned their attention away, pretending they don't know what they know.

I pulled Anakin into the back storage room and before I could say anything he pushed me against the wall and brought his lips to mine. He cupped my face and I ran my hands through his hair and the kiss became intense, we were barely stopping for air.

I began to become light headed so I gently pushed on his chest and he whimpered when our contact ended. I chuckled and traced my fingers along his jaw while looking lovingly into his eyes. "I love you so much Anakin."

"I love you more." He used his thumb to trail the mark on my face from Damon's knife. "He's lucky, I wanted to strangle him."

I grabbed his hand and kissed it gently, "That would've only made you more susceptible to the dark side and I'll be damned if I ever allow you to go down that path." My words caused him to flinch slightly and he looked away in shame.

"There's something you should know." He dropped his hand and backed away, sitting on a supply crate. "To get the antidote from Nuvo Vindi I-," he paused for a moment, "I used the force to choke him. And to get your location from Ventress..." He looked away from me to the floor. "I almost killed her. I'm sorry but I was so desperate to save you and get you back. I didn't care about the cost."

She deserved it.

Wait, no I couldn't think like that, not anymore. I shook the voice out of my head.

He was making all the wrong decisions.. but with the purest intentions. I couldn't be mad cause he did it for me but I also needed him to know that he couldn't do any of those things again. "Anakin look at me," he did as I said and met my eyes, "You saved my life, twice, and for that I'll forever be grateful. But promise me you will never resort to those methods ever again."

He placed his hand on mine and intertwined my fingers with his, "I promise."

"Where is Ventress now?" I asked, as soon as I had the opportunity to, I wanted to see her.
