Anakins POV
I was anxiously waiting for their return, I was sitting in my now fixed up room trying to work on some parts to keep myself distracted so I wasn't pacing around the ship dock. There was a knock at my door, I quickly stood up expecting it to be my wife but when the door opened I came face to face with someone else. "Echo?" He had a nervous expression and his eyes were shifting down the hallways like he was afraid of being watched, his face half burnt from the bomb attack.
"Can I come in sir?" He asked and I nodded moving out of the way for him to enter.
"Is everything okay?" I closed the door behind him and he stood in the middle of the room looking afraid.
"You're the only one I feel I can trust with what I'm about to tell you." He spoke low, almost in a whisper. He looked terrified and it made my stomach turn, whatever he was planning to tell me, it was nothing good. "I've been sitting on this for a long time hoping I was just crazy, but I'm afraid that I might not be."
"You can trust me," I assured him, "I will do anything I can to help, just tell me what's wrong." I did my best to comfort him and relax his anxious state.
He sighed and took a seat on my bed, "Us clones have these inhibitor chips inside of our brains to keep us in line," he began, although this was something I already knew, "Mine was damaged during the explosion and during the surgery I was having these dreams," he looked away from me and down to the floor, "At least I thought they were dreams but now I'm not so sure. Inside of them the clones had an order, to kill all the Jedi, all of our friends." His voice sounded sad, "And I kept hearing the same thing repeat over and over 'Order 66'. Sir I think there's a bigger reason why us clones were created and not a good one."
I looked at him confused, "Echo you took a heavy blow to the head. They could have just been dreams and nothing more or even hallucinations due to the heavy amount medications you've been on recently."
His eyes snapped up to me with a pleading expression, "No, I think when my chip was damaged, I was able to see the truth. Please General Skywalker you have to believe me." I wanted to believe him I really did but a plot to kill the Jedi? It just seemed far fetched. He was suffering major brain damage, which we were told could cause hallucinations, he shouldn't even be here right now, he should still be under observations.
"Echo-" I started but he interrupted me before I could say anymore.
"I know you think I'm crazy and sadly I no longer have a chip so it's not like I can prove it to you. But please, analyze another clones chip. If I'm wrong you have my deepest apologies." He now stood up and was inches away from me, he was begging me to give him a chance to prove himself right. "Please trust me on this General."
I sighed in defeat and folded my arms across my chest, "Fine. But if you're wrong, you never bring this up again."
I saw relief go across his features, "I promise If I'm wrong, I'll never mention it again, you have my word."
I pulled my comlink up to my lips, "Rex meet me in the medical ward, room 256."
"Of course sir." Rex responded almost instantly. He was the clone I trusted the most so I knew he was the right choice to do this with and I know he trusted me too, so I didn't have to worry about him saying anything to anyone. I didn't want Echo to get into any trouble for being ill. Which is exactly what I thought he was, ill, but I wanted to put his mind at ease.
