Sam sighed when the door to her apartment opened, revealing the same setting.

A red stain in the carpet is what first caught her attention. She silently reminded herself to clean it up

"Thanks, James.", she smiled while both of them set the bags on the floor.

It had been two days after he tried to take his life away and now, his progress had gone up in a really good level.

Currently, they had gone to Walgreen's to purchase a few necessary things for James.

Those things consisted of shampoo, shaving cream and a few razors.

"Go ahead, take a shower." she smiled. "I can tell you're excited for that haircut, right?"

He nodded and headed off to do buisiness.

Sam lighlty chuckled and began to look through her iPod.

"Sam!", he called out while she was in the middle of searching 40's music in iTunes.

She rushed to the bathroom and found James struggling to handle the shower faucet.

Actually, she thought it was adorable that he didn't know anything. Never, in the whole time that she's known him, has she gotten annoyed of helping.

" Here," she offered while doing a little twisting here and there.

He watched intently and tried to learn how to start the water.

"I feel like such a preschool teacher, but the red is for hot and the blue for cold.", she quietly laughed.

" If you want it in between, you twist the lever to the middle." She explained.

He nodded and Sam kept that brilliant smile that made his heart skip a beat.

She left for the kitchen, leaving him alone to re-establish his hygiene habits.

The warm water made him relax and think about Sam.

He wondered what he could do in order to repay her. It was a difficult task to think of something good.

After all, he had only stayed with her for a few weeks, he thought while pouring the shampoo on his real hand and rubbing it over his brown hair.

The metallic arm can manage to resist water and other things, so it really wasn't an issue to shower.

James wraps the towel around his waist and walks over to the sink.

The razors and shaving cream were still there with no use.

He had no idea how to use it, less on how to manage it. A good shot would count, right?

James decided it was best if he did shave using the instructions provided.

Meanwhile, Sam had the carpet cleaned up in less than no time with a special substance.

She couldn't wait to help cut James's hair, it seemed like an easy thing to do.

The 40's related music sang out from the iPod's small speakers.

The beat was fun and Sam couldn't stop herself from dancing a little.

Lucky for him, shaving wasn't as difficult as he thought, the look suited him and he felt more clean.

He gazed to the mirror one more time and realized that the scars had faded and he looked more like a normal person.

James looked at his new clothes, and decided to wear the one with the sailor kissing the nurse after Japan surrendered in World War II, like Sam had explained.
