Not one second, did Sam stop thinking about the stranger at her home. That is until she fell asleep.

Not one moment, did Sam stop smiling like a child. Instead, she engulfed herself in the pink throw that she was in and remembered that it was like 3:30 in the morning.

In fact, she should be scared. Right? After all, he did seem like a killer. More than that even.

She fell asleep, thinking about how she would help James, but most importantly: what she was to cook for breakfast and handle her new guest.

Back at the room, James awoke from a haunting nightmare that didn't let him sleep again. All he did was sit up and curl up in the uncomfortable armor, trying not to scream. Because around the room, he saw the ghosts of people who he once knew, but didn't recognize.

He fisted his air and bit his bottom lip, along with his shaking body and mind full of panic.

Slowly, he stood up and slowly opened the door to find the hallway light turned on. Keeping the walk, as silent as he had trained to be, he thought of watching the woman. But not because he was some sort of creepy stalker, but because there was something about her that made his mind and heart become calm.

It was one thing that he thought he could never figure out.

When he saw her sleeping and lightly snoring in the couch, his heartbeat slowed down and he was finally calm.

This feeling was one of the best he had ever experienced and it lured him into sleep.

Now, you may think that James is quite stupid for not choosing the bed to sleep in, but the ground that gave him a good view of the woman. The truth is, when something generates an aura of pleasant feeling in a night of terror, wouldn't you want to stay near?

Sam shot up from the couch that she remembered sleeping on, thinking that it was all a dream. Or a nightmare. Not really a nightmare, since she had just met the person who she had done so much research about. At the same time she felt like she needed to slap herself for sleeping in.

He is an assassin and could easily kill you in less than a second, whenever he wants to, and how he wants to.

Shivers ran through Sam like wild wind at the the thought of her possible and dumb death.

She noticed that she was in her pink shorts and over-sized Star Trek shirt, but didn't mind, since she couldn't just barge into James's sleeping state.

But one thing was the most surprising.

When she stretched her lanky arms and stood up from her sleeping position, she noticed the soldier laying on the ground in the hallway's entrance.

"James?" She asked surprised and walked over there to the sleeping man.

He looked so peaceful, even if he laid in a rough carpet.

"James..." Sam whispered and tucked a loose strand of his dirty, brown hair behind his ear.

Rapidly, his eyes opened and he sat up in a very energized way.

Sam was a bit startled, but calmed down when they both noticed each other's presence.

James gasped and Sam felt like her heart raced a thousand miles per second.

Bad idea to wake him up like that, Sam thought.

"You," she started. "Why didn't you sleep on the bed?"

He studied her for a second, wondering why she was worried about someone like him.

"I was afraid." He simply replied.
