"I'll have the Hawaiian, please.", Sam pointed to the picture of her order, above the clerk.
Sam knew it was a great idea to take James to eat pizza, in order to make him feel better.
Again, scents filled James's senses and he couldn't wait to try them out once more. Deep inside, he wanted to avoid giving Sam problems. Because of what he has seen so far, she has enough and he doesn't want to be selfish.
They went ahead and sat an empty table.
Sam leaned over and rested her elbows on the cherry red surface.
"What was this place called again?", James wondered out loud, surprising Sam. He wanted her to forget his outburst earlier.
" Barry's Pizza.", she smiled. "Between you and me," she whispered and leaned closer. James could smell her flowery scent that drowned the other scents, surrounding him. "I like Williamson's, but their closed for remodelation."
"Why?", he asked, feeling like an idiot for not coming up with something besides a question.
" They simply taste better." Sam shrugged. "You'll know when you eat one, for the first time." Both smiled at the last part.
They stared at each other for a matter of minutes that seemed like hours. Both feeling some strange rhythm take ahold of their heart.
But it was James's blue eyes that captivated Sam. They seemed like an ocean, but not at storm, but at peace. Finally at peace.
Her green irises is what caught his attention, and he remembered something.
He remembered something.
But every time this happened, it was like a floating balloon and you had to get fast in order to catch it. Or else, it would fly away and never come back.
This process angered and flustered him, but when he looked into her eyes, he knew he had one more chance at memory.
"Order 25!", the clerk shouted, making both Sam and James to break the not-so staring contest.
Sam, not wanting to look at James, for now, ran and received their orders.
She was extremely embarrassed at the thoughts of James. She wanted to disappear, but she couldn't let him eat there alone.
Many thoughts and confused emotions crossed James's face when she arrived with the circular food item.
"Am I suppose to eat that?", he asked quietly while making a face.
"If you wanna live, then yes.", she answered back, placing the food on the table.
She carefully picked a slice, dripping with cheese, the smell making James get excited.
As soon as it landed on his plate, he picked it up and began drawing it close to his mouth.
Sam was at the edge of her seat the whole time, anticipating his first bite.
And again, an adorable smile decorated James's face and Sam's heart fluttered.
" How was it?", she asked, her smile was bigger than her face.
"More would be nice.", he replied and Sam grinned.
They ate there, not being able to speak, since they were too busy stuffing their faces.
"James," Sam spoke in a serious tone and swallowed. He looked up, concern filling his misty blue eyes.
It was time to tell him.
