The sky began to clear up and the sun helped to warm everyone up. The two were wandering around, running and joking with each other. Jake stopped in his place, staring into the clothing shop in front of him. The male who was just getting excited over the cake was now hit with all of his emotions. The emotions he felt after the whole situation was pushed down, only hitting him now.

"Jake, what's wrong?" Sunghoon placed his hand on Jake's and examined his face. The older's eyes stared down the store's sign, his eyebrows were knitted together and his lips were in a straight line. His eyes were filled with tears, a few tears falling. Sunghoon was quick to place his hands on Jake's cheeks and wipe them off. 

"Don't cry Jakey, what's going on?" He continued. The store was almost empty and the displays at the front of the store lit up from the lights below it. A few people passed them, giving them a weird look and trying to pretend that they weren't trying to watch them.

"This was where I realized my feelings for Ni-ki" Jake answered, finally taking his eyes off of the store. "O-oh, we should just go home. We can continue the baking show if you want!" Sunghoon tried to lighten up the mood, pulling Jake away from the storefront.

The lights along the streets were beginning to turn off as the sky got brighter and brighter. The snow completely halted and to their surprise, not too many people wandered around. Almost every store that they passed by had some type of christmas decoration, making Jake cheer up a little.

Christmas was Jake's favorite holiday because of all of the happiness it brought him. Seeing everyone get excited over opening presents and watching people do nice things for each other was what he loved so much about the holiday. To relax, Jake would cuddle up in bed and watch a bunch of movies or sometimes even walk down the road and back to admire the christmas lights his neighbors put up. But because he was with his friends and Ni-ki a lot in the past few years, he wasn't able to do the little things that made him happy.

They stopped walking at a fast pace when they finally saw Jake's neighborhood. The walk to Jake's house was relatively quick as his house was one of the first houses you had to pass when entering the neighborhood. Jake and Sunghoon entered the house and plopped onto the couch.

Jake wasn't crying anymore but his heart ached so much, it hurt so much he couldn't even cry. He hurt so much that his face didn't even look sad, he was straight with no emotions attached. Sunghoon looked over at Jake again and got hit with his feelings. This was where they no longer could hold in their tears, the best friends were crying their eyes out.

"Why? Why? Was I not enough for him, Sunghoon? Am I ugly? Di-did I do something wrong?" Jake bombarded him with questions, leaning into the couch more and more with each word. Jake placed his hoodie over his head and looked at Sunghoon, he was me as well. "D-don't say that Jake. Th-they will explain... We might not come out with the answer we want, but we'll have to accept them" Sunghoon was hurt but he knew that he wouldn't be with Sunoo anymore, he knew that so well that it began to stop hurting.

Everything, even time itself, was going slowly as Sunghoon and Jake let out their feelings towards each other. Comforting the other's insecurities that they had while dating and then letting out their own. The two were best friends since middle school so it came like second nature when admitting their true feelings, they just couldn't lie to each other.

"I think I'm done crying," Jake said and wiped his cheeks again, feeling the dry streaks of tears on them. He then looked at sunghoon to see the same, the younger was staring at him. "I think I am too" Sunghoon answered and smiled a little. "For some reason, it doesn't hurt so much after I talked it out. I think, I think we knew about this but ignored it" Sunghoon added and scooted closer to Jake. "I agree, maybe we weren't meant to be" Although it hurt both of them, they both looked confidently at each other and nodded slowly. "Come here jakey" Sunghoon opened his arms and welcomed Jake for another hug. They stayed in each others warmth, smiling through their tears. "We should talk to them now"

Sunoo and Ni-ki cautiously sat in front of the two. They were at Sunoo's house, in his room, going to talk out the whole situation. For some reason, the air wasn't awkward but it didn't feel right. It felt like there was a wall in front of the four, who used to be so close. They all knew that they couldn't be mad at each other, if they did, it wouldn't feel the same.

"C-can we explain now?" Ni-ki asked with his eyes staring into the ground. "Y-yes, you guys can explain" Jake answered and gave them both a friendly smile.

"I'll put it simply... We-we fell for each other, it sounds so wrong but we kinda used you both to distract ourselves from the one we liked. I honestly really did love you Sunghoon, but not in that way. Not in the way I thought I did" Sunoo was mumbling but his words seemed to get across to the others perfectly. Sunghoon nodded and smiled as well.

"You know what, it's fine. It honestly is, I think we both have come to an understanding before today." Sunghoon added and looked over at Jake. The tension in the room lessened with a few smiles around the room. "Are you alright Jake hyung?" Ni-ki said slowly, looking into the oldest's eyes. "Yes, I am! Don't worry okay?" Jake then continued.

"It hurt and it still hurts but we'll be fine. You guys should be happy and if being with each other makes you happy, then you should be together"

Hellooo! This story is really fun to write hah, but I'm Jae >:) I barely write and kinda just edit this story but today was basically just my writing. I hope it's good and that you guys are like it! Have a good day/night <33
