Jake placed his phone on his desk and accepted the FaceTime call on his screen, smiling brightly when Sunghoon appeared on his screen. It was two days after Christmas and the two finally decided to talk about their date.

"How was your day Jakey?" Sunghoon was drying off his hair with a towel. "It was pretty good. What about you?" Jake asked and called Layla to his side, petting her. "Good, just a bit sad that I couldn't get to see you" Sunghoon pouted but the older could only look away, hiding his flustered face.

"S-so, when's the date?" Jake stuttered while bringing his hand to his head to brush away the strands of hair that bothered him. There was a moment of silence before Sunghoon spoke. "How about we spend New Years' together? Wait no, you probably want to be with your family hm?" Sunghoon was disregarding his initial plane but Jake only shook his head.

"No! It would be fun to have the date on New Years'. What about New Year's Eve?" Jake suggested and Sunghoon brighten. Going into the New Year with Jake by his side, hECK YES. "Actually I heard that Jay's parents invited my family and I to their house to celebrate the New Year," Sunghoon said. "Wait, same! My mom told me that Mrs. Park called yesterday, suggesting that we celebrate together" The two smiled. Over the years of the two and the other five being best friends, their families began to get closer as well. Sometimes they would celebrate a holiday together, most of the time Christmas but it was exciting to hear they could spend New Years' with each other and their families as well.

"Maybe we could have our date before the little get-together and then have fun with our families later on," Sunghoon said with his hand on his chin, looking off into the distance. "That sounds like a plan! So where are we going?" Jake asked with an anticipated look, who wouldn't be excited in this situation? They both thought for a while, thinking about all of the places they could go together. "We should watch a movie!" They said at the same time, laughing right after. "Yeah we could watch a movie and walk around the mall after, sounds fun" Jake nodded along with the younger.

"Well then, it's a plan," Sunghoon said, placing the towel off to the side. Jake stood up from his desk and took his phone, jumping into his bed. "Come here Layla" Jake said with a soft voice, hugging Layla in his arms when she jumped onto the bed.

It was around 9 pm when they started to FaceTime, enjoying talking to each other without having to be with them in person. The night was full of laughs and smiles, making some memories with each other. Sunghoon was on his bed, cuddled up with Gaeul as Jake was cuddled with Layla.

"You know, I wish you were here." Sunghoon had a little frown on his face. The look in his eyes was a bit sad and he couldn't help but smile at the younger. "And why is that?" Jake asked, staring into his screen. "I want to cuddle, that's why" Sunghoon was straightforward. "It's alright, we can always do it whenever we're together later on," Jake said, not caring about what he said although it made Sunghoon blush.

"Also, look! I'm wearing the hoodie you gave me!" Jake said with a cute smile on his face. He placed his phone down and stood up, raising his arms to show Sunghoon. Jake put the hoodie over his head and spun around, giggling. The hoodie was fluffy and oversized so Jake looked very small, even smaller than he already was. "I really like the size, it makes me feel really cozy" Jake added and straightened out the sleeves so it covered his hands.

"Aw, it looks really good on you. Really cute" Sunghoon had a big grin on his face. He watched as Jake pulled something into his grasp, realizing that it was the plushie he gave him. The dog was held tightly in Jake's arms and he planted many kisses on its head. "MwAh!" Jake exclaimed and moved it closer up to his body, the stuffed animal's cheek was against his. "Ahh, you're too adorable Jakey~"

Sunghoon put his hands on his hips and stared at himself through the mirror. It had been around an hour since he started to get ready for his date with Jake but he still was stuck in his closet, trying to find the perfect outfit. Everything he put on didn't seem right or seemed too casual to wear on a date. He held a blazer up to his figure, tilting his head before shaking his head aggressively.

"YEJI! Come here!" Sunghoon reframed from asking his sister for help but who was he kidding, he would probably take another two hours looking for an outfit if he didn't get help. "Yes? What do you need?" Yeji walked into his room, directing herself towards his closet when she saw the door was open. "C-can you help me pick an outfit?" Sunghoon said softly, really embarrassed to be asking his sister for help. HIS 13-YEAR-OLD SISTER FOR HELP?! Wow Sunghoon, that's great.

"OoH! Are you going on a date? WiTh wHo?! WAIT I KNOW, JAKE!! ITS JAKE ISN'T IT!" She shrieked, Sunghoon covering her mouth after she finished her sentence. "Yes, i-it is. J-just help me so I can go to his house" Sunghoon said, pointing to all of his clothes. Yeji looked at the blazer Sunghoon was holding and then at all of the clothes hanging, going over to look through them.

Sunghoon stood against the wall, watching his little sister go through the many pieces of clothing hanging in his closet. Most were either black or white, color didn't really exist in his wardrobe. "Ah, this and tHis!" She said and held up a black turtleneck, putting it beside the blazer. "You sure?" "Yes! And just put some jeans on and it should look nice" Yeji smiled at her brother, handing him the clothes. "Go try it! I wanna see"

In a few minutes, Sunghoon came out of the bathroom with the clothes on. He looked at himself through the mirror and smiled, eyes a little wide, he was shocked that the outfit worked. "See, I told you," Yeji said and stood up, ready to leave the room. "Yah, thank you" Sunghoon called out and pat her head, smiling at her. "You're welcome. Now make sure to have some fun with Jake, I'll see you later" Yeji said and exited his room.

"I guess it's time to go pick up Jake"
