Jake put his coat on the hanger, rushing into the living room. Layla immediately paused and looked at the male before rushing towards him, almost knocking him over.

"Layla!!"

Jake's parents and Layla just arrived home from the airport and he proceeded to welcome them back home. The big tan dog in front of him looked up at jake with her tongue out, enjoying all of the attention she was getting.

"Come here Jake" Mrs. Sim said and opened her arms, embracing her son tightly. When they were at the airport, they didn't get a moment because of how busy it was. There were so many people so it was impossible to have a special moment with his parents. "Please tell me you didn't stay home by yourself the whole time" She stared him deep into the eyes, he was very familiar with this expression. It was the expression she made whenever she knew Jake was guilty of something.

"Nope! I spent a lot of time with friends" The teenager smiled and let go of his mother. The warm feeling of hugging someone was always Jake's favorite thing ever. Holding someone or even being held by someone was one of the best feelings ever and he couldn't deny it. Ahem, especially being held by Sung- mOVING ON-

"Welcome back home dad," Jake said softly and shook hands with his father before they both began to laugh. His father took him in for a short hug but it was enough to satisfy both of them. "I hope you had some fun while we were gone" Mr. Sim ruffled his son's hair, taking a seat on the couch. His mother did the same, laying there, enjoying the feeling of being home.

"How was australia?" Jake asked and sat on the floor, besides Layla. The both let out a sigh at the same time with a chuckle. "Very hot, very very hot. I'm kind of happy we're here now, in the cold" Mr. Sim answered while reaching for the TV remote. His parents didn't like the cold but transitioning from a very dry and hot area to somewhere very cold must be quite refreshing. "But it was nice to see your aunts and uncles again" Mrs. Sim added, sitting up straight. The sim family was all enjoying each other's company. Who wouldn't want to be with family after they had been apart for some time?

"So what's for diner?" Jake asked and went to sit on the couch, besides his mom. He called Layla up to his lap, making sure that she laid comfortably before making himself comfortable. "Probably takeout, I'm not really in the mood to cook. Plus, we'll probably be cooking tomorrow, something delicious for christmas" That refreshed Jake's mind. Tomorrow was christmas. He needed to prepare Sunghoon's gift. Jake sat up abruptly with wide eyes. "I'll be back. I-I need to prepare my friends gift!" Jake exclaimed and stood up quickly, rushing towards his room. "He's a weird one sometimes" "Yup, but that's our son"

"Jake, the pizza is here!" Hm, pizza. Not really the ideal or usual meal you'd have before christmas but I guess there's a first for everything. From Jake's room, you could smell the heavy scent of pizza, warm and it called Jake down the stairs. His family settled into the dining room, everyone was very excited to dig into pizza. It had been a while since they ate together so it made it even better.
