When one is determined and has made a firm decision to accomplish something and, has the determination to get it right then, nothing is going to prevent you from making it happen why because, you’re fierce, grim and dogged. Habeebah has been a resilient, driven and hardworking woman who has put efforts into whatever she sets her mind to. With a firm mind, she has achieved countless amounts of things and Save a’ Soul Foundation is sure to be one of those great achievements.Things have been working in her favour and who is she not to be thankful. Her work leave commenced days ago and was going to last for a month which was necessary seeing that she has worked tirelessly in the past year for the growth of the firm. That wasn’t all, as the kids were on holidays too which implies that she will have plenty of time to spend with them before the break is over.
Peace of mind and serenity wasn’t far from her even though the remarriage issue was now known by everyone at home, they respected her decision of not wanting to discuss it unless when necessary. She has had plenty of time to think and ponder about the whole thing, from Umma’s reasons to that of her sister’s yet, her decision is what she has stucked to.
Currently in her room sitting on the bed, she recalled her conversation with her best friend Aisha the other day. Even before they were deep into the discussion, Aisha was already siding with Umma.
“Finally, you have decided to pick up your phone.” Habeebah drawled. “I have called over 15times but you weren’t answering.”
“I am so sorry girlfriend, I was in a meeting.” Aisha replied, coughing.
“A meeting in your condition? Are you alright?” Habeebah queried getting annoyed. “For God’s sake, you’re heavily pregnant and you know what you need is complete rest but still, you went for a meeting? Does Nasir know about it?”
“No, he doesn’t. It was important I was there and I couldn’t risk telling him because I for one know that he wouldn’t approve of it.” She answered, coughing again.
“Of course, he wouldn’t. Who would allow his pregnant wife go out to attend to strenuous activities? And believe me when I say after this conversation, I will call to tell him about this. You are even coughing!”
“Please don’t tell him Habeebah, I am going to receive an earful.” She pleaded. “It’s winter here already and, it’s freezing like hell. The cough started minutes ago, I will do something about it later.”
“And you say I shouldn’t tell him!? Are you back home now? Have you taken anything to ease it?” Habeebah asked concerned.
“Don’t worry about me dear, I am very fine and will do that later. You are acting like this is my first pregnancy.” She chortled, coughing.
“Every pregnancy comes with its own problems and complications, you never can tell what will happen the next minute. Please be careful Aisha, take very good care of yourself. I am very serious.”
“Okay ma’am, I will do as you’ve said.” Aisha mockingly saluted.
“How gone are we?” Habeebah teased.
“We!?” Aisha exclaimed. “Last time I checked, I am the pregnant one.”
“O stop being silly and answer the question.”
“Seven months.”
“Two months left. Wow that is very close. I wish I was able to come see you but, I’ll try my best and let’s see what happens.” Habeebah said solemnly.
“I understand dear, you need not bother.”
“How about what we discussed?” She asked. “You know the foundation stuff.”
