“I honestly do not know what to do. If Abbu decides to strip me of everything now, I’d be doomed forever.” Mahmoud panicked pacing around his living room.

“Well,” Fu’ad nonchalantly shrugged. “I also don’t know what to say.”

“Fu’ad please help me.” He beseeched. “I can’t let this happen, it should be out of the chapter.”

“Wow! Wow!! Wow!!!” Fu’ad exclaimed clapping his hands. “The Almighty Mahmoud Jalo asking for my help? I am greatly surprised.”

“Are you going to help me or not? Because if you won’t, there’s no need of you making mockery of me.”

“There is need, I’d even make a big deal out of it. I told you, didn’t I? I did but you didn’t pay heed to anything I had to say back then. You even told me to shut my mouth and mind my business and now, when everything comes crashing down; you want help from a man that doesn’t know anything?” Fu’ad asked astonished.

“It…It’s really not what you think.” Mahmoud muttered shyly.

“Correct me if I’m wrong dear friend but; I feel you just need my help to retain all you have now, not that you really want to change?” He asked rhetorically.

“You have nothing to say right? I thought as much. When you are ready to really work on yourself, when you really put your mind and all of your being into it; you wouldn’t even need my help Mahmoud. Have a good evening.” Fu’ad said standing up to leave.

“Are you going?” Mahmoud inquired flummoxed.

“Isn’t it obvious that I am my good friend?” He hollered smirking. “See you at work tomorrow.”

“Arrghh!” He frustratedly clamoured breaking a vase. “Enough! I have had it up to here. All because of you Habeebah, I am being insulted, threatened and downgraded. You’ll pay for this, for every single stress you caused me. That is a promise.” He spat fuming.

“I have spoken to Judge Balarabe, the one who helped with your divorce proceedings. I have explained the situation to him but, you’ll still have to do it yourself. We don’t have to go to court for all that, it’s something he can prepare in his office and send to us.” Bukar said to Habeebah.

Suhaib and Farouk already left to attend to other things not before pleading with Bukar, to do anything in his power, to see that they get the order.

“Thank you very much Bukar, I’m grateful.”

“There’s no need to thank me for anything Habeebah, I am just doing my job.” He said with a smile. “All you’ve to do is sign the papers when it’s ready and, we would also need Mahmoud’s signature.”

“That wouldn’t be a problem, I’d get it done.”

“But how would you do that Habeebah?” He asked relaxing into his chair. “You very well know the person we are dealing with, he didn’t give it a thought before trying to take the kids. How sure are you he would gladly pen his signature on the paper?”

“He has no choice but to. I can’t take chances Bukar. Mahmoud is a threat to them and who knows what he might try to do again. It’s best I put an end to all his antics.” Habeebah replied.

“No problem then. Just let me know if you’d need my help.”

“I will, thank you.” She said standing up.

“Where to Barrister?” He asked quirking a brow.

“I have some papers to attend to, why?”
