Matthew's POV

Nine months later

Today is the day. I will see the love of my life today. I have never been so excited in my life. I am at the airport right now waiting for Rosie to come back.

When I came home, my mother fought her way to hug me first. All of my sisters were there, and Rosie's family was there too. I wish that Rosie was there when I came home, but she had two more months to serve. Now, she is almost home, she could be getting off of her plane right now.

I have decided that I am going to surprise her. Although, she knows that I will be here, I want to make her question first. I will be hiding under the escalators and I will pop out and surprise.

I am ready. Come to me.

Rosie's POV

Finally, I'm home. I got off the plane and gathered my luggage. One step closer. I am going down the escalators and my family is screaming for me. My mom fights her way through to hug me first. "There's my baby" said my mom as she pulled me in for a hug. I feel like the last time I saw my mom, I was a child. I feel so much more sophisticated and mature.

Once I hug my dad, I ask my parents, "Where's Matthew?" Then at that very moment, someone picks me up from behind and twirls me around. Once he puts me down, I turn around and fall into the sea. His blue eyes staring into mine overflow me and I feel like I'm swimming. I move my eyes to the skin on his cheek. He seems tan. He used to be almost pale white compared to the tan he has now. I must look paler since I was in a colder place.

Matthew caresses my cheek. "Finally" whispers Matthew so I could only hear. He pulls my lips into his, and then I melt into him. I will never let go again. I can feel all of the cameras surrounding us as we kiss, but I don't pay attention to them. I am with my Matthew.

Once we pull away from each other's embrace, I look at him again. He looks happy and sure of everything. We regret nothing, not even the break up.

"Rosie? Can I ask you a question?"

"Sure" I said in a half British; half American accent.

Matthew looked contently into my eyes swallowing me up again. He took a deep breath then pulled something out of his pocket. He bent down, landing on one knee.

"Rosalina Marie Anderson, I have known and loved you for seven years now. Before senior year, I would have never though that this day would come, but since we are here, with nothing but happiness and love for each other, then I need to know. Do you love me enough to spend the rest of your life with me? Will you marry me?"

Tears started to form in my eyes. Sammie was right. She is always right.

I started to think back to our second date and when that old woman said that we were cute together and that we should get married. Then I could picture Matthew and I sitting on our porch in the yard, we are growing old together. It's peaceful as we watch our grandchildren play in the yard. I lean my head on Matthew's shoulder as we sit there. He rests his head on mine. "I love you" I say. He says it back.

"Rosie, if this is too soon then you don't have to answer." Matthew's voice brought me back into reality. I must have been thinking for a long period of time now. I knew my answer. It's obvious.

"Yes." Matthew looks confused for a second, then looks at me shocked. I don't really know why he is shocked. Everyone saw this coming. Matthew stands up and takes the ring out from case and puts it on my left ring finger. The ring is shaped like a rose with vines raped around my finder. He kisses me very gently. I hold our kiss in for a very long time while the cameras surround us again. Once our kiss is done, I stare at my ring very happily. I can tell that it is tied to my name and my favorite flower.

I greet my brother and sisters while showing them the ring. I also show all of my soon to be sisters and they all hug me and congratulate me. I hold my little nephew Jason as Matthew is hugging me from behind. My mom takes a picture. This will be a picture to remember.

I greet Robbie after holding Jason. "So, how's your fiancée?"

"Wonderful. I can't wait until she gets home."

"Well, she'll be home soon" said Matthew while holding my waist. Robbie smiles at the thought of holding Sammie.

As we were leaving the airport, I hold my fiancée's hand as we walk into our future.
