I can clearly remember the color of your eyes

The prettiest shade of any color I'd ever seen

And the sharp, strong jawline

That made my knees go weak.

Your laugh was the sweetest sound I'd ever heard

So full of joy

And your eyes would light up

Every time you smiled.

You were so strong

That the safest place

I could ever be

Was in your arms.

It's been a long time

Since I have seen your eyes

Seen your smile

Or heard your laugh.

I miss them all.

And after all this time,

I find myself wondering

How odd it is

To be haunted

By someone who is still

Alive.
