Calum walked through the doors, holding his backpack on his shoulder. He saw Ashton and gave him a tired smile.
"Tired?" Ashton asked, chuckling at the Kiwi.
"A bit," he answered, yawning.
"I think you are," the curly haired teen giggled. "Now, come on." He wave a hand for Cal to follow him outside.
They walked to the parking lot, Ashton leading the way to his bike. "You ride a motorcycle?" Calum asked in disbelief.
"Yeah, why? Are you scared?" The older teased.
"N-No," he grumbled.
"Yeah, yeah, just get on," Ashton told him, getting onto the bike, Calum following him actions. He tightly wrapped his arms around Ashton's waist and laid his head on his shoulder, tiredness taking over. Ashton lightly blushed as he started the bike.
He could feel Calum's warm breath on the back of my neck as he drove down the familiar roads. Normally, this wouldn't really faze him, but Calum was different and he wasn't sure why.
When they pulled into Ashton's driveway, he turned the bike off and Calum got off, himself following. They entered the home once Ashton unlocked the door and immediately went up to his room.
"Nice room," Calum commented, trying to clear the awkward atmosphere.
"Thanks. Do you have clothes to work out in?" Ashton asked.
"No, sorry I didn't really think about that," the other said shyly, showing off a different side of himself to Ashton.
"It's fine; you can just borrow some of my basketball shorts and go shirtless." Ashton waved it off.
Calum nodded with a small smile. Going over to his dresser, Ashton got out two pairs of basketball shorts, throwing one of them at Calum. He caught them and asked where the bathroom was.
When he left down the hall, Ashton stripped down to his boxers and slipped the shorts on. He readjusted the bandanna on his head and walked out into the hallway, waiting for Calum.
When he walked out, Ashton's heart skipped a beat. The boy was shirtless and the few tattoos that he had were on few view.
But Ashton forced himself to keep it together. "Come on." He waved for boy to follow him down the stairs.
The walked down the hallway and stopped at a door. Ashton opened it, revealing another staircase. He nudged Calum to go, but he only gave him a quizzical look.
"Dude, it's not a death chamber. Now, go," Ashton sighed, pushing Calum's shoulder to make him start down the stairs.
"Oh," Calum said with a mix of relief and astonishment as the other teen turned the light on.
"Told you; it's only my gym."
"It's cool." Calum nodded, giving Ashton the same small smile as earlier.
The elder odded back and told him he could start by stretching, so he told him to sit on the floor with his legs spread apart.
"Okay, now I'm going to push your back down, so it'll probably hurt since you're not used to it," he informed Calum before starting to push his back forward.
"Ash, I don't think I bend this way," Calum groaned, almost all the way to the floor.
"But you need to," he told him, trying to push more without causing too much pain.
Calum hissed through his teeth as Ashton started counting down from twenty. He finally let the younger back up when he reached zero.
"Alright, now reach for your foot and I'll do the same thing," he instructed him. Calum whined, but Ashton didn't care. If he was gonna do this and be successful, he would have to be flexible. He wasn't too bad already; he just needed to exercise and stretch more often.
"Alright, now for push-ups," Ashton told him after stretching on the other side.
"Easy," he scoffed.
"Very cocky, I see. Well then, do them with me sitting on you," Ashton challenged him with his arms crossed over his chest.
"Challenge accepted," he gave the older teen a smirk as he got into position. Ashton sat down on his back, making sure to put all of my weight down on him.
"Damn you're heavy," Calum groaned, attempting to do the first push-up.
Ashton smacked the back of his head and faked a gasp. "So, you're calling me fat! How rude!"
"Alright, calm down Stephanie Tanner."
"I am not from Full House. I wish I was though; I love that show."
"Same," he grunted again, completing another push-up.
"So..." Ashton said awkwardly, realizing how weird this was. He was sitting on a hot dude's back as he did push-ups for cheerleading.
"Wanna just ask each other questions?" Calum suggested as he inhaled deeply.
"Sure," I agreed.
"Okay, favorite food?"
"Spaghetti. Favorite song?"
"Hard to choose just one, so none," Calum mumbled. "What made you start cheering?"
"It just looked like fun. I never thought I would actually develop such a passion for it, though. Favorite place?"
"On stage," Calum chuckled, his body aching. "What about you?"
"On stage, but cheering," he answered simply.
"Should've known." Calum shook his head and chuckled again.
-
"Wanna stay for dinner?" Ashton asked Calum as they walked back up to his room after a long, hard workout session.
"Sure, thanks." He nodded and smiled at me.
"What do you want?"
Calum hummed, trying to think of something, as he picked his school bag up off the floor. He nonchalantly took out his clothes from earlier, beginning to change right then and there.
"I don't know, whatever you want." He shrugged stepping out of my shorts.
"P-Pizza?" Ashton suggested, stuttering due to standing in front of a hot guy in nothing but his boxers.
"Sure," he agreed pulling his sweats up.
He put his shirt on as Ashton decided to change into new clothes also. They went downstairs and Ashton popped a frozen pizza into the oven.
The older did a double-take when he looked out the window. The wind was thrashing everything around like it had gone insane and the clouds were darker than he ever seen them. A storm had moved in while they were in the basement.
"Looks like it's gonna storm, huh?" Calum said, sitting down on a barstool.
"Yeah, you sure you wanna stay for dinner? It looks like it's gonna get bad."
"Of course, I mean... unless, you don't want me to stay, then just tell me and I'll go," the dark haired boy mumbled, fiddling with his fingers in his lap.
"No, no! I just wanna make sure your okay. Wouldn't want you-" Ashton started to explain but was cut off by a loud crack of thunder, followed by a shriek from Calum, making him jump from both sounds.
The thunder kept rolling and lightning lit the dark sky. Ashton looked over at Calum and saw he had jolted up from his seat and had a look of terror written across his face.
"You okay?" He asked taking a step towards the younger
"Yeah, I'm just not a big fan of rain," he sighed, sitting down again.
Ashton went to comfort the teen, but was cut off again by another deep roll of thunder. Next thing they knew, they were sitting there after a bolt of lightning struck, the house completely black.
