Chapter 19

"A werewolf.."

"But that could only mean.."

"The machine must have worked.."

"But how?"

"Guys, can we all be surprised about this later? We need to change Zayne back or who knows what else can happen.

"I'm sure there's a way to change him back.. I mean it's not like nothing like this has ever happened before."

After having a brief discussion, we knew what we had to do. We decided to go out and find the only person who would know what to do in the situation that we were in.

Mr. Franklin was the other biology teacher at the school. He was in the middle of preparing assignments for his next class when we came in.

"What do you mean nothing like this has ever happened before?"

"I mean nothing like this has ever happened in the history of the world. I'm afraid that you're gonna have to let your powers run its course." He shrugged in response

"What is that supposed to mean?"

"It means that you're stuck until you find a way to solve this."

"So, what we should do?" "Is Zayne just gonna be stuck like this forever?"

"No, what I mean is that, unless you find a way to solve this, only then will Zayne stay this way forever. I suggest that you go to the library to do some research."

"You're kidding me. This has never been done before and you're saying the only way that we could change him back is to go to the library?"

"Eric, what choice do we have?"

Olivia had a good point.

So, we went to the library to do some research and I spent the rest of the night doing the same.

Later, I had this dream one night

In the dream, I was walking along a park when I spotted someone who appeared to be floating in mid-air in a white cloak with a wand in hand

"Hey, what are you supposed to be?"

"Hello there, I am the all-knowing wizard. What can I help you with?

"I was wondering if you could help me wizard..sir.

"My friends had put me through some accident that turned me into half werewolf and I was wondering what I could do to return back to normal

"Hmm...I guess that is a bit of a dilemma. Not to worry though. I have good news and bad news; the good news is that there is a way for you to change back and that is if you kiss the person who you fall in love with. The bad news is that if you don't find the person on time, then there is a chance that your powers could grow stronger and hurt you

"And what if that happens?

"Not to worry, I'm sure you'll find you're one and only. But, if you don't there is no need to panic. Even the most clueless of folks can find their way out if they just trust their instincts

"Thank you... the all-knowing wizard."

"You're welcome and good luck, my friend. Safe travels on your journey back.

The next day, I couldn't help but keep an eye out to see who my person could be.

My friends and I were sitting at lunch

"Hey Zayne, sorry for not being able to help out. I'm sure your powers will wear off soon

"It's okay, and anyway, I had this dream last night that could solve everything

"Wait, you mean to tell me you've been flipping through research books, and you got an answer from a dream

"Yeah, but think about it; if nothing like this ever happened in the history of the world, and I have wolf-like powers, then that means my dreams could be a part of my powers

"He does have a point

"And anyway, you haven't even heard what my dream was about yet

"Fine, spill

"I had a dream that a wizard told me, that, if I wanted to change back, the only way to do that would be to find the love of my life

"Wait a minute, how would you even know if it's the right person

"I don't

"Then, wouldn't that mean your dream is a bit absurd

"I guess it is. Then again, it wouldn't hurt to look around

"Come on guys, let's just get to class

"I stood up to empty my tray, but as soon as I did, I accidentally bumped into another guy and made him knock his books all over the floor

"Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry!

"Here, I'll help you out

" "Hey, it's okay, It has to happen to all of us at least once, right?

"At that, I couldn't help but smile and blush

"I'm Nick, I'm new, what's your name? He asked, extending a hand

I took it and said "Hey, I'm Zayne."

"It's a nice school, you got. I just moved here not too long ago

"What a coincidence, I just moved here a while ago myself.

"Where are you from?

"A small town in Nebraska

"You're from Nebraska? So am I!

"That is so funny."

"Yeah, I know right?

"Hey, so, I know we just met each other, but do you wanna hang out after school sometime?

"Sure, just say when and I'll be there

"Awesome. Well, here's my number, here's my address, I'll catch you later

Time skip

"So, he just gave you his number? No way, what's his name?" Emma said

"Nick. he says he's new to the school and he wanted to hang out and I agreed

"Oh my gosh, Zayne. If I didn't know you any better, I'd say you two are dating

"We're just hanging out and there's nothing wrong with two friends hanging out. Oh hang on, I'm getting another call

"Hey Olivia, what's up?..wait what?..you want to go where? What for? Okay..bye..

"Hey, Emma."

"Hey, who was that?

"It was Olivia.

"She said she wanted me to come by the park because we need to talk

"I wonder what she wants

"At this point, so do I

I grabbed my jacket and headed outside

"Hey, sorry, Emma, I have to go."

"Okay, I'll talk to you later."
