Zayne Timothy's POV:

"Well, at first, I was at Lowell high school.." Cassidy began to explain. "But then.."

"Yeah, why didn't you stay there!?" I asked, feeling somewhat exasperated

"Oh, I was going to! But then, I thought about the rest of us and felt bad because we've basically been missing out on each other since we all got placed into different schools. So then, I had this idea and transferred Olivia, Eric, Blade, and myself here so that we could stay together!  And so, here we are!" Cassidy finished excitedly.

At first, I couldn't see any real flaw in that plan so I wasn't too phased, that was until I realized something; did she just say what I thought she said? Let's see- there's Emma Olivia, and... oh no. No, no, no no, no."

I bit my lip. I knew there was no way to escape this time. Why do things like these always happen to me?? I really hoped that I would get away from "it" the moment I stepped foot into this school. But now, it seemed as though that bubble had suddenly burst, leaving me feeling naked and afraid. Years of torment, teasing, and trickery had left my mind reeling.  I knew it was hopeless trying to explain all of this to Cassidy, but the situation was already dire as it was. There was no turning back now. I knew what I had to do;

"No, this can't be good." I said, talking to myself

I took Cassidy by her arm, and then led her into a small corridor that was not very far from where we were standing.

It was a little hard to do, seeing that so many kids were zipping by us, trying to find their way to class, but we eventually made it

"Zayne, where are we going?.. Where are you taking me?"

When we arrived, I had to ask her again. "Cassidy, who did you say you brought here, again?"

"Emma, Olivia, Eric, and Blade!" "Isn't that great!" She said, proudly

I didn't say anything, but instead mentally debated whether to look at her or look away. As I stood there, I darted my eyes around, and looked as if I was going to either scream, cry, or maybe both at the same time. I fiddled the ground with my shoes, as I looked around anxiously

Cassidy probably noticed this because she asked "Hey Zayne, are you alright? You look like you're about to faint or something."

At this point, I had no idea what I wanted to do. I really wanted to run away screaming with my hands up in the air while riding on every tile floor and hit myself against the walls. For the time being though, I decided not to show this to Cassidy.

"Oh yeah, I'm fine, as fine as someone can be after finding out that their long lost enemy is coming back to haunt them. I'm fine!" I said, in an exaggerated tone.

"Really? are you sure?"

"Yep.."

After a moment of silence, Cassidy threw her hands up happily. "Well, that's great! I'm glad you're as excited as I am!"

It wasn't that hard to fool Cassidy. When it comes to sarcasm, she's pretty gullible, so it wasn't that hard to trick her into believing...well anything, really.

"Hey, I'm really glad that you feel as good about this as I do, Zayne. For a minute there, I thought that you were about to say that you didn't want to see Blade anymore or something."

It's true, I didn't want to see him, how could she possibly not know that??  Even when the signs were all  there?? Out of all the fights that Blade and I had been a part of, I can safely say that Cassidy had been involved in at least 95% of our battles, and yet she still believes that we get along like two peas in a pod."

It's true. Blade and I really did fight in the past, but it wasn't always this way. In fact, there was a time when I was really good friends with him. Now, don't get me wrong. I'm not the kind of person who would hang out with a "bad guy" per say, but it was different with him. We used to do everything together. Go out to movies, parties, dances, etc. Everything felt just right, until one day when everything changed. It was 8th grade, I was in math class, and I met this girl who was in my math class. Her name was Claire. I really liked her, she had a witty sense of humor and I could never take my gaze off from her sapphire blue eyes. I liked her so much that I wanted to introduce her to Blade. That was when we hit it off and our group formed. Blade, Claire, and I started hanging out more until things started to get different. Blade was the one who started to hang out with Claire. They would do everything together; they would study together, share note together, eat lunch together, sit in class together, etc. Everything looked normal between them until I looked in to Blade's locker; among the textbooks, I noticed that Blade had pieces of folded paper that were scattered across the locker and he even had roses that were attatched to the inner walls. That was when it finally hit me. Not only were they "hanging out," but they were doing way more than just hanging out. That's when I decided to do the dumbest thing ever imaginable.
