Hey guys, before you start the chapter I just wanted to ask for some tips? I just recently told my best friend I basically liked them, and I feel as if it's awkward? If anyone has any advice they could give that would be so amazing ily <33

NAVEAHS POV

"hey mom."
I say getting in the car as my mom smiles.
"hey naveah, this is Devon."

"uh hi." I say looking at my moms new boyfriend. He looked like a genuine person but i didn't really pay attention. I buckle my seat belt as he says hi to me as well.

We drive to his house and get out the car. Holy fucking shit it was a huge house.

"come on in." He says as he unlocks the door. It was so beautiful and dinner was already on the table. He seems a little too nice but oh well.

I sit at the table and spread the napkin on my legs.
"so naveah, how are you?"

"i-I'm good.. and you?"

"I'm good, thanks for asking. Your mom told me you had a girlfriend, her name is?"

"rue, rue Bennett." My heart started racing, i was so happy to talk or even say her name.

"tell me about her, if you'd like."
I doze out for a bit and my mom taps on my shoulder repeating what he said.

"uh, yeah sorry. She's really sweet.. tall-"

RUES POV

I woke up still in Jules arms. She was watching tv and laying her head on mine.
I yawn and rub my eyes. She sits me up next to her and smiles.
"hey rue rue."

"hey." We lock eyes for a second and my heart just dropped. I hear my phone buzz, I look to see it was naveah.
"hi baby, my moms boyfriend is hella cool :) miss u already <3"

I smile at my phone and send her a few heart emojis. I put my phone down and look at Jules who's watching tv again.

I lay next to her and then she looks at me.
"can I do your makeup?"
"s-sure."
She smiles and gets up to get some makeup she brought over a few weeks ago. She climbs on top of me starting to do my makeup.

I had no idea what to do with my hands.. it was like, the old times when I liked her..
"remember when I literally cut myself at a party in front of Nate fucking jacobs."

"yeah.. it's like the biggest moment at our school.. people still talk about it." I say as we both giggle a little. I look at her in the eyes.
"Jules?"

"yesss?"
"are you Inlove with Anna?"

"mm, yeah." She says as she's putting rhinestones on me. I take a deep breath and question her again.
"w-were you Inlove with.. m-me?"
She chuckles and pushes my hair back from my face.

"yes." My heart sank and I didn't know what to do.. next thing I knew our lips were together, for.. a long time. Her lips felt so soft and warm. Like we were under water.

After a few seconds she pulled back from me and we both got up.
"I'm- gonna"
"yeah you should probably.."
"leave?"
"yeah" we say as we basically are cutting each other off.
Holy fucking shit.. why did I do that.. if I know I have a whole fucking girlfriend. I'm such a fucking idiot.

I flop on my bed just thinking about what the hell happened. I hear my phone ring and see it's naveah.
"hi rue babyyy!"

"uh , hi."

"What ya doing."

"just, watching tv & you?"

"chilling, my moms boyfriend is really nice. He asked about you and everything. My heart immediately sank cause like.. talking about you just gets me so nervous cause I'm Inlove with you rue." Now I feel even worse then before.

"I love you naveah.." she just smiles at the phone and makes funny faces. I pretend to laugh but all I could think about is what happened between me and Jules.

It's been about 10 minutes since we got on the phone. It started getting too quiet and I didn't wanna say anything that happened by accident, she finally says.
"I'm gonna go to sleep, I'll text u in the morning baby."

"okay."

"love you." She says. I just hang up.  If I keep fucking acting like this she'll eventually know something happened. I just don't know how she'll react when she knows..

NAVEAHS POV

Rue was acting really fucking weird the whole the FaceTime call. I lay on my bed just thinking about it.

"ughh" i groan because of how bored I am. It's literally 3 in the morning.. basically Christmas.

I text Jules cause she's usually up.
"hey Jules! <3"

"Hi" uh what? "Hi?" She never responds like that.. I wonder if something happened.

I went on social media and looked who Jules was following. I seen my old friend Chrystals Instagram.

"woah.. she's hot.." what the fuck. If I'm already not sure about the party why would I even say that..

RUES POV

It's 12:00 pm, and the party starts at 7:00. I couldn't sleep as much because of how much I was thinking about me and Jules kiss.. it just happened. Out of nowhere.
"rue!! come open presents with your sister."

"okay" I really don't wanna open shit.

I walk out of my room seeing my mom and my sister. They're both sitting by the tree waiting for me. My mom gives us each presents that are for us.

I didn't really want a lot to be honest.
"thank you mom oh my-" my sister says hugging our mom. She got her a sweater she's been wanting forever for.

I didn't really get much but I was still thankful for it.
After we opened gifts it was about 1:50 and I got a text from Jules.
"hey rue rue, Chrystal was wondering if she could bring some more snacks to the party !"

"sure."

"great, I hope what happened last night isn't really bothering you.."

"no, it's not I'll talk to you later tho." It's bothering me to fucking death. I look at the ring naveah gave me while I was laying on my stomach. I got a text message from her.
"hey rue!! Can't wait for tonight love you baby." I didn't say anything. I'm being even more suspicious then before holy fuck.
