NAVEAHS POV

Me and my sister wait for rue. The waiter comes by finally and ask what'd we like to eat.
"I'd just have the chicken tenders and fries." Miya says.

"okay, and you?"

"hey.." I lift my head up seeing rue. The waiter moves out of the way so rue can get pass she sits by me and I scoot over. I lay my head back down facing the other way from rue.
"uh, naveah what do you want." My sister says.

"the same thing she has please."

"okay, and you?"

"I'll just get the soup please." Soup? really rue. The waiter nods and ask what we want to drink. We all say water and then she leaves. I lay my head back down making it awkward. one of my hands are under the table and so is rues. She tries holding my hand but I lift my head.
"rue what the hell dude.. why are you acting like you don't wanna talk."

"naveah not now."

"miya please be quiet. You literally asked her to come here now you don't want us to talk? what the fuck."

"Naveah calm the fuck down now." Rue says holding my hand under the table. She knows if I have her touch it calms me. I look at rue then my sister and snatch my hand away playing with some napkins on the table. My sister then says
"rue, my sister wants to know what's going on."
"yeah, I uh.."
She looks at me I can see but I look away.
"basically, my mom got this new boyfriend, and I don't know how to feel about it. Seeing her with someone other then my dad just kinda fucks with my head for some reason."

"is that all?" Rue shakes her head no. Then I sit up looking at her feeling kinda shitty.
"when me and naveah came back from our little trip.. my mom came home early. I lied to her saying I went to eat with you.. and she thought I was doing drugs still." I look confused as to why didn't her mom believe she wasn't doing drugs.

"she told me I had to to take a drug test the next time I peed. But basically we argued. My sister gia came into my room asking me was I doing drugs. I told her no and it hurt knowing my mom and especially my little sister was concerned for me..I don't like my past self at all and if I could... I would change it..."

Me and rue look at eachother as I hold her hand under the table. Miya looks at me waiting for me to talk.  I know that isn't all call her did looked "relived" I just hug rue.
"I'm so sorry..."

"it's okay baby." I look at rue who was crying a little bit as well as me. I told rue I never meant to snap on her like that. I told her I was glad she finally opened up about it.
"so your mom has a new boyfriend?"

"yeah, I don't know...his name is Rick? Like who the hell?"

"rickkk" my sister says sarcastically. We all laugh. I mouth thank you to my sister and she blows a kiss. Our food finally comes and we enjoy it. I lay my head on rues shoulder.
"rue, I know there is something still wrong."
She looks at me then takes a deep breath..

"the winter formal." Holy shit. I was scared.

"I don't know how to fucking ask you."

"oh.."

"so will you go with me?"

"no." My sister looks at me and rue looks down. I look at them both.

"wow, you really don't know how to ask me to a dance."I laugh at her.

"of course I'll go with you rue, who wouldn't.."my sister looks up fast as well as rue. She hugs me quickly and kisses me. I tell her I love her and she says the same. My sister looks at her phone.
"we all should go to the movies real fast."
