"Or maybe we could go out for some ice cream or something now? I-If you want." He said, throwing his cigarette way. "Ice cream sounds great." I giggled and walked with Michael to his car. "Wait a second, shouldn't you be at detention?" I asked laughing. "Let's just pretend I don't." Michael said and shot me a wink smiling.
We walked quietly to Michael's car. I still couldn't believe he would ever want to have to do something with me since I'm a rather shy and quiet girl and he's...well a typical bad boy. We never really talked before but I always wanted to get to know him better and in some kind of way he always fascinated me.
Michael and I stopped at a really nice, dark sports car. "Wow that yours?" I asked rather shocked. I didn't know he had the money to afford a car like that. "Yeah, got it for my 18th birthday." He srugged. "No big deal." I looked at Michael with raised eyebrows. "Uhu right." I scoffed.
"Yeah whatever just get in the car." I did as I was told and sat down in the passenger seat. "So, ice cream is okay?" he asked and started the car. I just nodded, suddenly feeling really insecure about myself. I bit my lip and looked down to my feet. We weren't talking much throughout the whole car drive to the mall.
"Are you okay? You haven't been talking much since we left the school." Michael asked after we got out of the car. "Yeah sure it's just-" I cut myself off, not knowing how to say what I had in mind. "It's just what? you can say it, it's okay." Michael said and gave me a reassuring smile. I took a deep breath before I answered, "It's just, I don't know why you want to hang out with me. I mean we never talked before and I'm just....me." I mumbled, looking back down.
Abruptly Michael stopped walking, "Belive it or not but I never had the guts to ask if you want to hang out with me." I couldn't help myself but to let out a loud laugh. "Yeah righ. Mr. Badass Clifford is too afraid to ask someone like me out."
"Did you just call me Mr. Badass?" He laughed. I felt my cheeks redden and I buried my face in my hands. "Yes. Well my friend and I always call you that." I admitted. "I think I like that." Michael giggled, "Let's go inside okay? I'm starving." I nodded and we started walking to the ice café.
After we sat down and the waiter took our order Michael asked, "Let's play a game."
"A game? What kind of game?"
"5 questions. It's a great way to get to know each other a little better." he said smiling. I thought about it for a second but nodded after a little while. It really did was a good way to get to know him better but I was a little afraid that he might lose his interest in me because we doesn't have a lot in common or maybe he'll think that I'm boring.
"Alright I start," he smirked. "Lets start with something simple, whats your favorite food?"
"Hm thats not easy!" I laughed, "I think either pasta or pizza."
"Good one." he winked, "Okay uhm, whats your favorite color?"
"Green."
"Favorite flower?"
Favorite flower? Seriously? I expected something like, do you have a boyfriend. What's your bra size. When was the last time you had sex. Not that I'm complaining I really liked that Michael was asking questions that actually mattered, I just took him for the other type.
" I love lilies or orchids." I smiled
"Beautiful. Just like you. Anyway, whats your favorite movie?"
Wait
What.
Did he just compliment me?
"Uh I have a lot of movies I love but I guess my all time favorite is Titanic." I stuttered, slightly blushing.
"Oh god you're such a girl." Michael laughed. "Oh shut up." I said and playfully kicked him under the table.
