People always look strangly at me when I tell them math is my favorite subject in school. I was fairly good with everything that contained numbers and calculating things. All in all I was a very good student. In the eyes of most of the people I was a nerd but to be honest I don't give a damn what people think about me. I wanted a good future and that was only possible with good grades.

After classes were over my teacher Mrs. Stark asked me to stay behind for a moment. "(Y/N) I want to ask you for a favour. You're my best student by far and there is one student in particular I'm very concerned about. You might know who I am talking about." she sighed and rubbed her fingers over her forhead.

I was pretty sure she was talking about Luke Hemmings. He is the most popular kid at school. A real dick. A typical bad boy. He is skipping school. He talkes back rudely at teachers. Detention is his second home. He sleeps around. He smokes, not only cigareattes. He deals. He drinks. He doesn't give a fuck about anything. He is basically one of those guys your parents always warned you about.

"Yes I'm sure I know who you're talking about. But I have nothing to do with him. I don't know how I could help?" I told her confused. "He is failing my class and not just mine. I want you to try to tutor him a little. He is not a dumb kid and even though he is rude and acts like he doesn't know anything I still have hope. I think he could actually do it. With a little help from you." she explained. "I know it's a lot to ask."

I have classes with him everyday and I kind of agree with Mrs. Stark. There is potentional in him. Luke was never mean to me, he never did anything to make me feel bad so I decided to help him out. "Alright. I'll try." I smiled. "Thank you so much (Y/N)! I will talk to the other teachers about it and we're gonna talk about a adequate reward for your work." she stated happily. "No problem." I smiled and took leave.

After I put my books in my locker decided to look for Luke and tell him the, for him probably awful, news. He was probably behind the school buliding. It was the smoking place of the school. Everyone who needed a smoke came here. I've never been there before. I didn't like the people, most of them were rude asshole and made stupid comments about everyone.

With an uneasy feeling in my stomach I walked outside and looked for Luke. He wasn't hard to miss. He was really tall and his arms were covered with a lot of tattoos. After a little while of searching I spotted him leaned against a wall a few meters away from me. He was surrounded by his friends Michael and Calum. I didn't like either of them. With every chance they get, they try to bring me down.

I took a long breath and quickly walked over to them. "Uhm hey." I spoke out rather nervous. Three heads shot into my direction. A quick smile spread over Luke's face while Michael and Calum looked annoyed by my apperance. "What do you want here nerd?" Calum scoffed. "That's non of your business." I snapped. "Oh she's getting sassy. I think someone needs to teach that bitch some manners." Michael hissed and stepped forward.

Luke held him back by putting his hand forcefully on his shoulder. "Leave us alone." Luke lazily said and let go of Michael. "But -" he started but Luke cut him off. "I said, leave us alone." he hissed. Michael frowned and ran off with Calum next to him.

"How can I help you princess?" he asked and turned to me. The way he looked at me and the way he said princess caused a weird feeling in my stomach. I tried to ignore it and concentrate on why I'm here. "Mrs. Stark talked to me earlier and asked me for a favor." I explained.

"So? What do I have to do with it?" he asked and lit himself another cigarette. "Well, she wants me to tutor you. You're failing some classes." I blurted out. Luke blew smoke out of his mouth and he looked at me annoyed. "You're not actually thinking I'm taking that offer right? And why would you even help me?"
