Alex’s POV
I wake up with the sound of a complain groan. I cup my head, since my head aches. It must be about the drinking last night. The room is so dark. I try to sway my hand to find the switch but end up hitting my hand to something that feels like a wooden plank. I groan again, but this time by the cause of pain.
“Alex?” A husky voice croaks.
“Joseph?” I call back. “It’s so dark, I think we’re in a closed space...”
“Can you open it?” I can sense the arching eyebrow of Joseph.
“Oh yes, I can definitely open it,” I spits sarcasm.
He ignores and try to stand up as he wobbles and send the whole close space shaking as if there's a mini earthquake. The air is getting stiffer, I can’t think!
“The door won’t budge what do you expect me—“ his words are cut by the door opening and burst the sunshine into our cringing eyes.
I turn my back to the sunshine and see the ‘close space’ that we’re trapped in earlier. It turns out to be my closet. Why would we lock ourselves in my closet? This is beyond stupid and bizzare at the same time. Well what can I say? Alcohol can make us do weird stuffs.
“We basically trapped ourselves in my closet,” I announce.
“Are we that drunk?” he face me, “Uh, why are you shirtless?”
“I always got shirtless when I’m drunk,” I shrug off the question. Joseph stands still while examining my… body. The moment lasts like that for a minute or more until I break the awkward staring contest by coughing. “I’ll go get Essie and Gemini.”
“Okay, I’ll go get Josh then.”
With that, we split to separate ways. I go to the wrong side and come back again with bumping over Joseph. He stops, looking at my green eyes and chuckle. His freckle lightens when he does. Damn. I do the same in return and finally go to search these two weirdoes.
“Hey, Essie, the prank wasn’t cool,” I say while walking towards her room. I check it out and it’s blank. “Essie!” I call out while laughing. “I get it, you’re trying to hide, don’t you?”
I drift my legs into the living room. My feet thump over the dusty carpet. I sigh. “Gemini?” I say with concern this time. “Where are you both?” I huff. They are nowhere to be found; this apartment is small. I think they’re kidnapped. Before I can warn Joseph about it, I hear Joseph’s sound from afar. I run towards it and hear it clearer. He’s in the bathroom.
“Alex, oh geez,” he chokes on those words. His feet is slump on the floor, his hands are shaking with… blood.
Josh is laying there, groaning in agony, mouth agape while choking on blood. He struggles to breathe as his hand travels to his stomach. He has been stabbed.
