Alex's POV
We arrive at the--I assume--their shelter. I un-attaches myself from his grip, positioning myself to a proper stand; which I fail and wobles.
"My name's Joseph Hern," he says out of nowhere. I startles and turn to face him, forming a faint smile to my face.
"Hi, name's Alex. Alex Lipton," I introduce myself.
Our eyes lock awkwardly and we somehow chuckle in sync.
"Ah, so here it is," he smiles. "Quite eerie, yes. But this is where we live. Essie's inside too."
I nod. He leads me towards a group of bushes that guide the way to the double doors. The double doors are completely black and enormous. There are also carves of witches and angels. Before I even know it, he opens the giant door effortlessly.
"Welcome into our Cabin," he introduces.
My eyes widen. I mouth a 'woah' as gold features greet me along the hallway. All paintings are glaring down at me in accusations. Sculptures are beautifully and flawlessly standing on each corner of the blank space that we currently stand on.
"Fancy," I blurts in awe.
"Indeed," he smiles. "Nice, eh?"
I nod in agreement. Suddenly a guy that looks identically like Joseph walks in.
"Hey this is Josh, my twin brother." he motions Josh to stand by him and they both grin in sync.
"Oh hi," I wave my hand.
He replies the same but without the 'oh'. Then he shakes his head and facepalm himself.
"I am easily distracted," he confess. "Anyway, Gemini wants to see you." Then he leans to Joseph and giggles to his ears, "and it's not gonna be good."
"Uh, okay..."
Josh roll over then cartwheels to the front while spreading his arms side to side as if he's waiting for a bunch of claps and cheers. But none come, I just stand still with awe. Joseph suddenly claps and screams a 'wooh'. Josh looks as happy as ever with that cheer.
"Where's the others?" Joseph asks.
"Uh, they're resting?" Josh replies unsure. He obviously continue to walk and do another cartwheel until we find a wooden door on the edge of the room. He stops then Joseph and I follows.
"Okay, here's Gemini's room," Josh and Joseph says in sync.
"Where's Essie?" I ask before entering.
"In there," Josh reply with a shrug.
Without my agreement, Josh turns the door knob and leave me no choice but to enter the dim room. The room is very well-decorated. An Asian guy suddenly kick the door close behind me and glare down.
"I'm only bringing you just because you're her best friend, understand?" He grunts.
"Uh... I know you."
"Yeah, the 'robber' huh?" He mocks.
I ignore and take a glimpse at Essie whose lying soundly on his bed.
"What?" I say high pitch.
"What?" He say; questioning my shock.
"You ain't havin' Essie on your bed man!" I shout.
"Ugh... it's not what you--" he facepalms. "She's supposed to be awake," he saddens; as if he's blaming himself. Or is he?
"What happened to her?" I asks in concern.
"I don't know... I don't know if she'll ever be awake."
