" Ready to battle?"
Sophie POV
After finally returning from the river, I went to bed. I tried not to think about the 'thing' happened between me and Fitz. As my heavy eyelids could no longer open, I fell into a deep slumber.
" Princess Sophie! Wake up!" a maiden called.
" Huh- what?" I mumbled as I woke up from my sleep.
" King Ruwen has called the Sencens to come over to discuss about the wedding," the maiden replied, bowing.
Probably about the Neverseen attacking us, I thought.
" Very well. I take it they are coming soon?" the maiden nodded.
" I will leave you now, Princess Sophie. Call if you need anything," the maiden replied before bowing and walking out of the door.
I sighed and walked to my wardrobe. I wore something not very fancy for a princess. I wore a white shirt with a short white blouse. After wearing a pair of black leggings, I wore white sneakers. Last but not least was my cloak with my moonlark pin.
As I finished fastening the pin, I walked out of my room and went to accompany my parents.
" King Ruwen, I certainly do not understand why we are having a fake wedding but very grand. Are you suggesting-" Sir Cassius started to say but when he took a glance at my outfit, he stopped himself.
" Oh dear, do we have a problem? Cause only when she wears something like that it's serious," Sir Cassius trailed on with his oily voice.
" It seems like there is, Sir Cassius," Grady simply replied.
" Lead the way then," Sir Cassius said as he sighed.
After a lot of explanation, we finally finished.
" So you're telling me that the Neverseen is going to plan an attack on my son's wedding day?! This is outrageous!" Sir Cassius said but not as furious as his words meant.
" That's precisely why we need your son's cooperation to help us," Edaline said.
" I see and I don't mind, really" Sir Cassius said after his moment of thought.
" That's settled then, shall we get on with the preparations?" Grady asked but we stayed silent.
" Silence is agreement I presume," Grady continued, " Sophie, I think you need to meet some people?"
I bowed, " I shall get going now."
" Why not bring Keefe? He is part of this," Edaline suggested but I tried to protest.
" But mum Keefe doesn't-" I was cut off.
" Of course, I am honoured to go," Keefe said.
I huffed while the parents smiled, besides Sir Cassius of course.
" Let's go," I mumbled as we stood outside of the royal gates.
" Where are we going?" Keefe asked.
" River," I responded, being quite vague.
" What?! you don't mean that river-" I cut him off this time.
" Keefe, if you want the best for me then dont ask anything. I know what I'm doing," I said.
" It doesn't look like you know what you're doing," Keefe huffed and I ignored him though I could still hear him.
" Ah, the moonlark has finally arrived," Stina smirked, I rolled my eyes.
" So what's the plan braveless moonlark?" Mr Forkle asked.
I scanned the crowds' faces and a particular teal eyed colour boy caught my eye.
He gave me a thumbs up and I smiled.
" I need Wylie and a particular someone to help with the first step," I said.
