" Things were a little different"
Sophie POV
" We should get going now, your majesty," I said and the King nodded, asking Fitz to lead us out.
" Come on, the rest of the Black Swan needs us," Dex urged and ran towards the direction where left the rest.
Macura swiftly followed behind and as I was about to follow them, someone grabbed my hand, " Sophie?"
It was Fitz, " Can I talk to you for a while?"
" Fitz... my members are in danger, they can't hold it for long. We'll talk later when we have time, okay?" I explained a little quickly. I just couldn't afford anyone to be hurt.
Fitz furrowed his eyebrows, " You're a telepath?"
" Right, I never mentioned that," I said as I scratched the back of my neck.
" I can't get pass your blocking. I don't know why," he asked, trying to concentrate.
I slowly took his hand off mine, " You can't, I have an independable mind, you see. Now, I have to go."
Fitz lowered his head, " I... I understand."
For some reason, it pained me to see him like this. I sighed.
I cupped his cheek, " Meet me tomorrow night by the river."
With that, I kissed his cheek and took off into the woods where Macura and Dex ran off to. As I ran, I couldn't help but to look at Fitz face. I read his expression. Shocked. Well, most of it anyway. There was another expression I couldn't read. I shook my head and continued running at maximum speed.
Fitz POV
When Sophie kissed me, I was in utter shock but I soon recovered and my expression softened.
" Why do you have that smug smile on your face?" Biana asked as I walked back into the living room.
I stayed quiet.
" You guys did something, didn't you?" she asked with a wining smile on her face.
Now, I really wanted to wipe that smile of her face as I shot daggers at her. Little sisters can be so annoying sometimes.
" Come on, just tell me already!" she pleaded with puppy dog eyes.
I tried to resist but yet again I reluctantly gave in.
As I transmitted the whole thing, Biana squealed.
" The ship is finally sailing!" she exclaimed. Wait what?!
" What do you mean?" I asked, bewildered.
" Oh come on, stop playing dumb. It's obvious that you two are in love with each other," Biana said with a serious look.
" Here we go again," I muttered under my breath.
" I'm serious, look at you two! You two are probably the cutest couple I have ever seen," Biana squealed.
" Just that we are not a couple," I pointed out.
" Well you will be, once you confess," Biana said.
" It ain't gonna happen. You know the rules, Biana. We can't do that," I said, slumping into an empty chair.
Biana clicked her tongue as she stood up to face me, " Brother, brother, brother. You have to listen to your heart. You know deep down you love her. Anyone can see that. It's too obvious and it seems she's returning the feelings. So why run away? These feelings are a part of you, brother dear. You can't chase them away."
I snorted, " You sound like mum and dad."
Biana tapped her chin, "Maybe but I'm telling you to follow your heart. Sophie loves you. She cares. You know that. And you know that you feel the connection between you two is strong. You have to face the feelings and Sophie eventually."
" I can't even tell if she returns the same feelings as I have... for her," I said, sighing.
" Well, that's nothing new. Besides, they do say love is blind," Biana replied with a giggle and went out of the living room, leaving me to think.
Author's Note: Welcome back! So we all know Biana's lecture she gave to Sophie. But now, Fitzy has some of it too. Welp. I won't be updating this Thursday so you can expect me to update tomorrow! Stay tune! Stay safe, take care! Love you! :)
