" Problems I didn't want to deal with. Why was it always me?"
Sophie POV
" Your Majesty, Sir Keefe and his family awaits you soon. King Grady wants you to get ready," a young maiden said as I lay in my bed, looking at the ceiling.
Sighing, I sat up, " Very well, I would get ready now. So if you may?"
The maiden nodded and went out of the room, allowing me to dress. I sighed or more like groaned. I went to my closet and looked at the dresses. I picked a sleeveless, sparkling, midnight blue dress that almost reached my feet. With the dress, I wore dangling sapphire earrings. Maidens then helped me with my hair. They tied my hair into a form of a Japanese bund. They added some fake pearls and stuck them to my hair as the finishing touch. I am not going to lie when the maidens did my hair. My hair always looked outstanding and beautiful.
" You look beautiful my dear!" Edaline said as she walked into my room.
The maidens excused themselves while Edaline continued, " Come, your future husband awaits."
I let out an audible sigh before following Edaline. Downstairs, was Keefe's family. Keefe and his father. His mother was part of the Neverseen so she was banished from the elvin world, never to return again.
" King and Queen Ruwen," Keefe greeted as he bowed.
Then, he made his way to me, " Princess Sophie."
He took my hand and kissed it. Okay... I was a bit flattered but still.
" Sir Keefe, Sir Cassius," I curtised.
Sir Cassius nodded and was about to say something when Edaline cut in, " Why don't we seat down and talk. I'm sure plenty of things happened to you since you last visited Sir Cassius."
" Indeed. Let us enjoy each others accompany," Sir Cassius responded.
As the adults went to the resting room, Keefe held out his hand and I reluctantly took it. I wasn't used to being so formal with Keefe. I sighed.
Fitz POV
" Thank you, Prince Fitz," Linh thanked as she sat on the chair I pulled out.
I groaned, softly, Why am I doing this?
I then took the seat beside Linh. Apparently, it was just a meeting about the wedding.
" Our maiden, Tinge, could take care of the planning," Della informed them.
" Very well, Queen Della. However, who would be the servant who would bring the princess to the palace?" the Songs mother, May, asked.
I looked at Tam and Biana. We were all bored. This was not something we would enjoy. I thought they usually said ' let the adults handle things'. Obviously, it was a lie.
" Fitz?" I heard my father's voice.
" Yes?" I asked.
" What theme would you like your wedding to be in?" my father raised an eyebrow.
I knew the rule. Rule number one hundred and twenty nine, always let the bride choose.
" Why not Linh choose? I'm not the expert of these things, anyways. In addition, she had been to many more weddings than me," I replied.
" Hm... I would like to either make it a blue and purple theme or a formal theme with white and black," Linh answered afterwards.
" We can make the afternoon part of the wedding the formal theme and the evening part of the wedding theme the blue and purple theme. What do you think, your future Majesty?" Tinge asked.
Linh did her sweet smile, " Perfect."
" Very well, I think that is all the arrangements, Tinge. You may get planning. Now, why not the kids go and have fun while we adults catch up?" Alden said.
The rest of us agreed and Linh, Tam, Biana and I went out of the dining room, formally.
