" Hearts that linked into one"

Sophie POV

       Not long after, Biana left, I hurried back to the palace as well. As soon as I got into my room, I flopped myself onto the bed. Decide. Decision. Stop bugging me already!

      " Your majesty?" a maiden asked as she entered the room.

     I looked up at the maiden as she spoke, " The Black Swan arrived. You should get ready."

     " Yes, very well. Tell my parents I would be there in five minutes. Now, if you may, I need to get ready for my creators," I replied.

      The maiden nodded and exited the room with curtesy. I sighed and started to get ready. When meeting my creators, I don't necessarily have to dress like a princess, so I appreciated that a lot. I picked out maroon short dress and a pair of black leggings. I clasped my black hood with a moonlark pendent and fastened it. With a bit of Vertina's  help, I tied my hair into a simple, sleek ponytail. Last but not least, I took out a pair of black boots with straps. I smiled at what I wore. Satisfied, I went down to meet the Black Swan.

       " There's our fearless moonlark," Mr Forkle said as he smiled at me.

       Other than Mr Forkle, Blur, Wraith, Granite and Squall was there. I frowned. 

       " Where are Dex and Marella?" I asked.

       Dex and Marella joined the Black Swan, together with me, so we kept many secrets and shared them among each other. Keefe? He doesn't know about this, especially since some of the members are from the other side. In addition, with his hate for the other side, it wouldn't be wise.

       " Mr Dizznee and Ms Redek would arrive shortly but first we have matters to discuss," Mr Forkle said.

       " It's probably serious if you are all here," I noted.

       " Yes and I'm afraid that the time has come our fearless moonlark," Blur said as Edaline and Grady excused themselves.

        " Time? Time for what?" I asked.

        " To fulfil your duty and I'm afraid it is not going to be easy," Squall replied.

        Before I could ask what was going on, Dex and Marella arrived.

         " Sophie!" the two greeted in unsion.

         " Dex, Marella. Great to see you!" I said.

         " What's the emergency?" Dex asked.

         " Well as we were saying, Sophie must fulfil her duties as the moonlark and she will need all members of the Black Swan to fulfil it," Granite continued.

         I shuddered. Ever since I found out I was the moonlark with an important role, I longed for that day to fulfil my duties to come. Now, I have to say... I was worried. It sounded big. I was sure the situation was big. Bigger than the Black Swan has ever conquered.

         " What duty is it?" Marella asked.

         The Black Swan glanced at each other, nervously, asking the other to tell me.

         Mr Forkle, finally stepped forward, " The Neverseen, after years of hiding, are arising. The gnomes have heard them. Nothing exactly in particular but they are taking advantage of the two separated lands. Apparently, this was their whole plan, to get the lands to separate and conquer. As the moonlark, you need to overthrow them before it is too late. These lands are no longer cared by the Council so we are now completely alone. We need the sides to work together to stop chaos. The Black Swan has not enough members to defend both islands."

         I tried to comprehend, really I tried but it was really a blur but I had to ask one question, " When are they arriving?"

         " Nothing is for sure but their main aim is you, Sophie. So they're going to interrupt your wedding when you least expect it. The gnomes heard that they are planning it around you're wedding and someone is trying to get the date of that wedding thus we must prepare," Squall said.

          I could think of good news and bad news. Good news was I did not need to be married to Keefe just yet and have time to decide. Bad news was I needed to battle the Neverseen.

          " Okay... gather the troups. We need an emergency Black Swan meeting," I instructed.
