"How dare he! Just how dare he say those things about Draco, about Serenity, about my father!! Just. How dare he!" I yell as I continue to pace around the room.
"Jude you need to calm down, there are more pressing matters right now than your pride." Victoire says softly.
"Oh yeah like what!?" I yell back at her.
"Rue's feelings." Victoire says simply.
I had been so caught up in wanting to break James' nose that I apparently had forgotten Rue was in tears upstairs. My yelling most likely wasn't helping the situation.
"It has to be you that talks to her Jude, not either of us. Cmon this needs to be corrected before tomorrow or we are going to have even bigger problems on our hands, besides the fact that James knows we sneak out to come here." Victoire continues.
"Corrected? Her feelings need to be corrected? And what if someone spoke out against your mum being Veela?"
"Cmon mate!" Teddy interrupts.
"Or your father being a werewolf Teddy? What if people were to act as if your parents somehow made you just as dangerous? Huh? Like you were meant to be evil? People like James cause people like us, like Rue, Scorpius, and I to feel like we are villains. Like we somehow were a part of a war we weren't even old enough to see or understand. I got sorted into Gryffindor fair and square! I'm a good person, my father was a good person, rue is a good person!" I continue to yell. Now feeling my own tears aching to escape my eyes.
"Jude that's not what I meant, I'm sorry." Victoire exclaims. "You know I care for you very much Jude, you are a good person I know it."
"Mate, I can't even begin to understand having death eater parents but I do know prejudice. I understand you don't want to be defined by your parents." Teddy says.
"What if I did? What if I did want to be defined by people like Hubar, Draco, and Serenity. People that didn't have much choice but chose to do something hard to protect people they loved? Their choice of sides wasn't easy but they still did it. Your parents had it easy, at least you have your parents."
"Jude we, we didn't know you felt this way?" Teddy explains.
"Didn't know that I never met my father yet everyone has something to say about how he makes me evil? How Serenity is literally the closest thing I have to him and quite honestly the kindest woman I have ever met yet people fear her because of a stupid tattoo on her arm? How Draco Malfoy has been like family to me, he is an excellent father and all around a kind person yet people fear his name? Everyone wants there to be change, so many died for that. Yet there isn't change. It's not over, there is always evil and when there isn't then people try to find it."
