"You know we could have easily used the floo network in yer father's office. It would have taken us straight to your house without the hassle." I comment while Rue and I stand at the train station awaiting her parents.

"Jude where is your sense of adventure?" Rue replies while rolling her eyes. We both chuckle at each other before I see a bright smile on her face when she catches the eyes of someone behind me.

I turn to see Serenity and Neville waving and in a split second Rue rushes towards them. She jumps onto the couple knocking them onto the floor and causing a tangled mess of hugging and laughing.

"Typical." I say with a smile as I make my way over to them.

Looking at all of our wizarding families you would probably guess the Weasley's would be the warmest and happiest of all of them, but you would be wrong. Despite having a large loving family the Weasleys didn't hold that title, it was the Longbottoms I adored the most. It was just the three of them yet they had love that could fuel an army. The fights were always short, and the happiness never ending. You couldn't be around the Longbottom family and not have a smile on your face.

"Jude! Darling I've missed you." Serenity coos as she pulls me into a tight hug.
"I trust you've been treating your favorite student nicely?" She questions her husband with a glare.

"Hey! I'm not allowed to have favorites." Neville replies as he peaks over at Rue apologetically.

Serenity and Rue gather her trunk and things and Neville helps me carry my own. We all hold hands and apparate quickly to the Cottage.

We land directly infront of Rue's family home. The sudden change in temperature causes me to lose my breath for a moment. Despite it being December, the area around the cottage felt warm and bright. Just past the flower fields you can see the bitter snow storm blowing a snowdrift against the invisible barrier the Longbottom's had conjured.

Because of their insane love for plants and everything Herbology, Serenity had invented a way of controlling the weather in the area around their home. This way they could grow year round and keep certain plants that can only live in warm environments.

When I enter the home it is decorated top to bottom in Christmas decorations. A warm smile grows on my face. As Serenity excitedly explains how school is going to her mum I make my way over to their Christmas tree. It's decorated with familiar ornaments, photos, and decorations. My eyes land on a wood heart with two small handprints painted on. One obviously larger than the other.

Jude Hellenberg and Rue Longbottom

"That's a good one! I remember that Christmas, it was your second and Rue's first." Neville exclaims happily, also admiring the tree.

"I kinda remember it, only slightly though. I mostly just remember Rue spitting up all over me." I reply.

Neville let's out loud laughter, it's infectious and causes me to laugh along with him. Rue and Serenity make their way over curious as to what was so funny. This causes Rue to become red and yell at her parents about how she couldn't control that and that her Uncle Draco shouldn't have spun her around so much before handing her to Me in the first place.
